Rotiboy Opens In Singapore, Bringing JB’s Famous Coffee Buns To KINEX

Rotiboy in Singapore

One of the things I miss the most about being able to travel to Johor Bahru is getting my hands on a box of coffee buns from Rotiboy. Founded in Penang, the brand had a brief stint locally but has since disappeared, leaving us with just imitations of their iconic coffee buns made by other bakeries. No more, though, as Rotiboy is returning to Singapore, with their new outlet KINEX.

KINEX, located in Katong, sees the bakery open in its basement, at unit #B1-29.

Expect to get your hands on their delicious coffee buns, from the classic Rotiboy ($2.50 each, $11.50 for five), to other options, including a Buttermilk Bun ($3 each, $11 for four), Mocha Bun ($3 each, $11 for four), and Cheese Bun ($3 each, $11 for four).

For those who don’t know, Rotiboy is famous for their fragrant Mexican coffee buns.

Pillowy soft with a coffee-flavoured cookie crust and a buttery filling, these are a must for many to get when they’re shopping around JB.

Coffee and chocolate lovers can also get extra excited for their Mocha buns, which contains a gooey chocolate filling.

If you’re not a big fan of coffee, though, their other two menu items are still well-worth the trip to Rotiboy.

The Cheese buns are topped with a cookie and cheese crust, and loaded with a sweet cream cheese filling.

The Buttermilk is a crowd favourite, as the salty-sweet filling reminds us a lot of salted egg yolk.

Address: 11 Tanjong Katong Road, #B1-29, KINEX, Singapore 437157
