Routine Korean Fusion Cafe & Bar in Tanjong Pagar sells bingsu
If Kreams Krafthouse has autumn, Routine Korean Fusion Cafe & Bar has spring all year round. This floral-themed Korean cafe that doubles as a bar is a quick four-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station—even better, it’s the ideal supper or drinking spot as it opens until 12am seven days a week.Â
Though compact in size, the space is made cosy with a ton of cherry blossoms towering above you. Also, here’s a shoutout to their solid playlist—from Korean R&B to K-drama OST, the overall ambience was made better thanks to a good selection of songs.Â
Fans of Korean desserts will be thrilled to know that there’s Korean shaved ice dessert AKA bingsu here.Â
We recommend their signature Routine’s Injeolmi Bingsu ($21++), which features shaved ice covered with roasted soybean powder, and topped with red bean paste and chewy rice cakes.

Alternatively, you can get their bingsu in other flavours, such as Mango Bingsu ($22++), Green Tea Bingsu ($19++), and Oreo Choco Bingsu ($19++).Â
Aside from bingsu, their menu sees a good variety of small bites that pair really well with alcoholic beverages. We couldn’t pass on their Korean Chicken Gangjeong ($19++), which is essentially fried chicken glazed in sweet and spicy sauce.Â
This is a must-try for those planning on getting beer—the combination of chicken and beer will not disappoint.Â
Their Garlic Butter Octopus ($22++) was also to our liking. This dish consists of bite-sized octopus, baby corn, chillies, and garlic stir fried in butter.Â
If you prefer something punchier, you can get the spicy version instead.Â
FYI, there’s a happy hour promotion from 12pm to 6pm everyday, which means you can enjoy a pint of Cream Frozen Beer at $12++. If you’re in the vicinity with a group of friends, drop by Routine Korean Fusion Cafe & Bar for good food and a nice ambience.Â
