Seoul Noodle Shop will open at Junction 8 by April 2025
Good news for Bishan residents: Korean knife-cut noodle restaurant Seoul Noodle Shop is set to open at Junction 8 by April 2025! Those living in the area can get their kalguksu fix very soon, without having to travel to the brand’s three other outlets: Suntec City, Tanjong Pagar, and Tanglin Mall.
Seoul Noodle Shop Review: Legit Korean Knife-Cut Noodles In Tanjong Pagar
The popular restaurant, headed by famous Korean chef Lee Won Il, made waves when it first launched in the CBD last year.
According to an Instagram post, the new Junction 8 store will open in late March to early April.
When we visited their Tanjong Pagar restaurant in September 2024, there were 12 mains to choose from, including noodles and rice dishes. We particularly enjoyed their signature Half Chicken Noodles ($18.50++).
We were impressed by the generous portion of knife-cut noodles, which boasted the perfect thickness and bite. The milky broth was light yet flavourful, best enjoyed with the chicken meat and various condiments: cubed radish kimchi, yellow pickled radish, and barley rice.
Those who want something heartier can consider the Pork Bone Spicy Noodles ($20.50++), which comes with a huge pork bone submerged in a piquant, perilla-forward broth.
Alternatively, the dry Bibim Noodles ($16.50++) are a great option for the warm weather. This cold dish comprises springy knife-cut noodles with beef slices, white kimchi, and omelette slices, tossed in a sweet-spicy sauce.
