A bowl of Fishball Noodles here starts from $5.50. Each bowl features a pile of noodles tossed in chilli, vinegar, and lard served alongside soup with fishballs, fish cake, tau pok. Patrons have praised nearly every aspect of this dish, especially the springy fishballs. Even the lard gets rave reviews, with many noting the generous amounts of them, as well as how large and crispy they are.

Aside from fishballs, Shen Ji is also known for their sweet and delectable prawn balls. While you can request to have it with your fishball noodles, there’s also an a la carte option called the Prawn Ball Soup ($5.50).

If you’re much of a fishball noodles fan, then you can opt for the Fish Soup ($6.50). While this dish doesn’t get as much attention as Shen Ji’s signature dish, we hear that it is nevertheless a comforting and mostly quality rendition of fish soup.
