Sourbombe Bakery Opens In Jewel Changi With Creme Brulee Doughnuts, Lavender Soft Serve And More

Sourbombe Bakery Opens In Jewel Changi

Sourbombe Bakery’s second outlet in Jewel Changi is officially open and ready for takeoff! This beautiful bakery is run by Masterchef Singapore runner-up Genevieve Lee, with their first physical outlet being at Park Mall in Dhoby Ghaut.

The newly opened Jewel outlet sports a pink-themed dining area with a bar counter that resembles Jewel’s iconic rain vortex. Diners can also look forward to new and exclusive items on their menu such as soft serve ice cream, savoury doughnuts, and craft coffee.

Go for the new Hay Honey soft-serve ice cream ($8.50) served atop an OG Sourdough Bombolini for an additional $3. This hay-infused ice cream is topped with cacao nibs, osmanthus flowers, and honey cornflakes for added sweetness. You can also choose to have your ice cream in a cup or with a Quarter Crispy Brown Butter Waffle for an additional $4.

Those who enjoy floral ice cream flavours will love the Lavender Lime ($8.50) soft serve, topped with crushed pistachios, rice puffs, and lavender buds. The dessert is enhanced with a pistachio rose drizzle.

As for the doughnuts, we recommend Strawberry Milk ($5.60), filled with luscious strawberry-infused cream. Other exciting flavours include the Blueberry & Lemon Thyme ($4.80), Creme Brulee ($4.80), Kahlua Coffee Pistachio ($5.60), and Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($5.60).

If you don’t have a sweet tooth, you can try the savoury bomboloni instead. A popular pick would be the Crab & Caviar ($8), which is stuffed with fresh crab meat salad, guacamole, avocado cream cheese, mustard aioli, and topped with caviar.

Alternatively, you can go for the Truffle Croissant ($9) or Sunny Crab Danish ($9), which are part of their range of viennoiseries.

To cleanse your palette, don’t forget to check out Sourbombe Bakery’s drinks too! Try the Ginger Berry Espresso Soda ($9), which features an adventurous combination of ginger beer, espresso, house-made strawberry jam, and mint. For something that’s non-caffeinated, there’s the Blueberry Lemon Cream Soda ($9), a creamy, fruity, and sweet beverage.

For more bakeries to visit, check out GAMO, a Japanese-inspired and Muslim-owned bakery in Bras Basah. Alternatively, O Happi Place review offers croffles, gelato, and ice cream sandwiches.
