Three Madames has unique Chinese desserts in Jurong East
Whenever there are new traditional Chinese dessert spots to check out, our team is always down to check them out. In recent months, we’ve been to the Hong Kong-inspired Within The Walls Dessert Bar as well as Fa Si Xi Traditional Chinese Dessert, a mahjong-themed cafe in Lavender. This time, though, there’s a new spot for the Westies: Three Madames is a new cafe in Jurong East with wallet-friendly desserts under $10!

The vibrant bowl of Frutti Noodle ($8.90) caught our attention as you get a pair of chopsticks—instead of a spoon—to enjoy this dessert. This dessert comes with long, thick strands of green “noodles” made using coconut milk jelly, accompanied by a lovely range of fruits such as mango chunks, kiwis, and strawberries.

Another interesting dessert on the menu is their Salted Egg Snowflakes ($8.90), which features milk shaved ice topped with taro balls and cookie crumble, then drizzled with salted egg sauce. This dessert is not only for fans of sweet-savoury desserts, but also for those who appreciate textural variety. Worry not if salted egg-flavoured things aren’t your thing—they also have a Pandan Kaya Snowflakes ($8.90) dessert!

Besides these unique creations, you’ll find other must-haves in any other traditional Chinese dessert cafes: Mango Pomelo Sago ($5.90), Yam Paste ($4.80), Peach Gum ($5.90) and more. We also like that they offer a good range of toppings from $0.80, including grape pop, sakura pearl, mini mochi, and rice ball.
FYI, everything on the menu is under $10 here, except for 9 Treasure ($13.90), where you get a sampling platter of nine desserts of your choice, as long as they’re priced under $5 on the menu. This one’s great if you’re heading down in a group, and would like to get an assortment of desserts to share with your friends.

Three Madames is fairly new, having just opened in July, so do extend some grace if you face any hiccups along the way. For easy access, the traditional dessert cafe is an eight-minute walk from Chinese Garden MRT Station.
