Tuxedo’s New Menu
Dine in class at Tuxedo Café & Pâtisserie, located on level one of Carlton Hotel. From 21 April, the cafe and pâtisserie is pushing out a revamped and expanded menu of up to 20 cakes and pastries. For those looking to enjoy an afternoon high tea, a quick lunch time break, or simply want to live a tai tai life without breaking the bank, you can now be spoiled for choice with the extensive range of bites at this hotel cafe.
All made from scratch daily, by a team of in-house pastry chefs, Tuxedo Café & Pâtisserie caters to fans of tarts, pastries, and cakes.
Hazelnut lovers can indulge in their Hazelnut Chocolate Eclair ($8.50++), where carefully piped waves of smooth chocolate cream lie atop a densely filled choux pastry, with a crunchy base made with royaltine flakes.
For the hot afternoons, try something refreshing like their Yuzu Pineapple Cake ($9.50++), where the sweetness from the pineapple mellows the citrus from the yuzu, though the tanginess of both fruits still shine through.
If you want to talk about an IG-worthy ooze, you cannot miss their Matcha Lava Bun ($4++), that contains a thick creamy matcha azuki filling, encased within a crystallised, sugared crust.
For a savoury snack, their signature pastry, Carlton Chicken Pie ($4++) houses a mix of savoury shredded chicken, potato cubes, carrots, and onion, to complement its flaky exterior.
If you are looking for an invigorating treat, try their citrusy Key Lime Tart ($8.50++), which melds a sweet mango pudding with an airy chantilly cream, contrasting well with its buttery, crumbly base.
