Velocity@Novena Square Lets You Redeem Christmas Gift Sets Worth $78 And Vouchers When You Dine At Their Restaurants

Christmas deals at Velocity@Novena Square

If you’re in the vicinity of Novena, and looking for a spot to do some Christmas shopping that gives back to society, as well as nab a tasty meal, then Velocity@Novena Square has got you covered. From now till 26 December 2021, the mall has attractive redemptions, and gift sets that shoppers can redeem as they spend, including a 4-in-1 waffle maker that’s worth $78!

Head down to enjoy Christmas-themed meals and goodies while you shop for the upcoming season! If you’re wondering where to dine to clock up those receipts, then read on for our suggestions.

Consider Lucky Kitchen (#02-26) for a slew of authentic Chinese dishes. They offer a range of appetisers, mains, and small bites that will surely satisfy your hunger. We recommend the Fried Rice with Pork Chop ($9.80++) for something flavourful and filling. Alternatively, the Shallot Pancake ($6.80++) is a great dish for something quick and light.

Lucky Kitchen is running a Christmas promotion where their most popular main dishes will come with a free soft drink or a house-made soy milk ($1.50++) on the side. These dishes include Beef Noodles ($8.80++), Yangzhou Fried Rice ($7.80++), Noodles with Soy Bean Paste ($6.80++) and many more. Receive a special Christmas gift if you spend a total of $38 or $58 in a single receipt at their store!

Alternatively, you can visit Lucky Kitchen’s neighbouring restaurant, Hana-K (#02-25), for Korean fare. With the current dining restrictions, Hana-K has a Best Value Meal Set menu for two, featuring some of Korea’s iconic dishes such as kimchi stew, kimbap and others.

Try the Jja Jjam Jia Set ($36+), which consists of a bowl of Jja Jang Myeon, Jjam Bbong, and a plate of Fried Pork Dumplings. This set is perfect for pairs who have different taste preferences as Jja Jang Myeon is rich and savoury, while the latter is spicy and filled with seafood. Every set meal also comes with four side dishes, including kimchi and potato salad, as well as a cup of onion skin water, which is said to have lots of health benefits.

Aside from the Jja Jjam Jia Set meal, there are seven others that you can choose from, including the Kimchi Set ($36+), Jib Bap Sets (from $25+) and Feasts Sets ($50+). The Feast Set comes with your choice of an Army Stew or a Spicy Octopus Stew, and is paired with Soy Dak Gang Jeong, or a Seafood Pancake on the side. Do note that there are no service charges at Hana-K!

If Korean food is not your cup of tea, consider having Vietnamese food at So Pho (#02-43). Go for their signature items, which include Imperial Spring Rolls ($4.40++ for two, $6.60++ for three), Mango & Papaya Salad with Crispy Anchovies ($8.80++), as well as the Pho Special Flame Seared Marbled Sirloin Beef with Beef Balls Noodle Soup ($16.80++)

For a taste of Christmas, visit The Soup Spoon Union (#01-62) at Level One. They have a Christmas Festive Meal (from $12.90++) which features a bowl of SouperChef Special Soup with Bread Roll, your choice of side, a drink, and a Christmas Sourdough Brownie. In case you’re wondering, the side includes any item from the wrap, sandwich, and salad categories.

We recommend going for the hearty and comforting Chicken Cacciatore with Portobello and Sage Soup. It is a tomato-based soup of country vegetables, chicken, and comes with a dollop of sour cream on the side.

If you are feeling thirsty from all the shopping, quench your thirst with Kookoonut’s (#02-53A) coconut shakes. You can either go for the classic Signature Coconut Shake ($4.70/$5.70) or the creamy Avocado Coconut Shake ($5.50/ $6.50). Otherwise, try the Coconut Toffee Popcorn Shake ($5.90/$6.90)—a Christmas special that consists of a coconut shake, topped with freshly-made popcorn, drizzled with caramel sauce.

Before you leave the mall, head down to City Donut (#01-72) to take away some afternoon snacks. Purists can go straight for the Original Donut ($1.40), but we would recommend going for their locally-inspired flavours.

For something rich and decadent, try their best-selling Milo Dinosaur Chocolate ($2.30). They also have nostalgic flavours such as Yam Orh-Nee ($2.60), Pulut Hitam ($2.30), and Black Sesame ($2.90), all of which are fragrant and creamy. Otherwise, check out their signature Pandan Ondeh Ondeh Donut ($2.90) for a fragrant and sweet treat.

Simply spend in the mall and redeem exclusive Christmas premiums such as gift wrappers when you spend a minimum of $60, or a Christmas Surprise Gift Set when you spend $250. For U-POPP members or UOB cardholders, you will only need to spend a total of $40, and $200 respectively, to redeem your gifts!

These gift sets have been designed by trainees who are part of the GROW Sheltered Workshop, by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore. They, together with the persons with disabilities who packed the Christmas Surprise Gift Sets, will receive a royalty fee from UOL Malls in support of their learning and developmental journey!

Velocity@Novena Square is also giving away a 4-in-1 Waffle Maker, with mittens and a trivet set designed by Ms Genine Tham, a beneficiary of the Extra Ordinary People’s Art Psychotherapy Programme. Simply spend $400 worth of goods, and you’ll be eligible to claim this gift set. U-POPP members and UOB cardholders, once again, have the advantage of spending at a lower limit of $350 in order to redeem these items. Do note that all the redemption items are subjected to availability.

In addition to these Christmas-themed items, you can also redeem a 10% cashback when you purchase a $50 e-voucher at the Customer Service Counter. The cashback will be given in the form of 1,000 POPPoints, which is worth $5. At the same time, redeem an hour of free parking when you spend more than $30 in a single receipt. Do note that this parking promotion is only valid on weekdays after 6pm.

Moreover, there are also F&B vouchers to claim when you dine in at one of the listed eateries above! From 26 November to 10 December, the mall will be giving away $10 dining vouchers, and a Christmas Surprise Gift Set to the first 200 shoppers who show a copy of the above-featured restaurants’ receipts, together with this article.

Aside from these Christmas promotions, you can look forward to new openings this year end, such as Lenskart and PO Chicken on Level One! If you have never heard of PO Chicken, they are an eatery that offers freshly-baked chicken legs, paired with your choice of sauce: Miss Tom Yum, Smokey BBQ, Black Pepper PO’ Boy, or Paprika Aioli
