Weave RWS Food Guide: 10 Places For Wagyu Hamburg, Korea-Famous Bread And More

Weave at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) food guide

I don’t know if it’s just me, but it feels like more new malls have been opening in Singapore lately—Punggol Coast Mall, ICON Link@ClubStreet, and Geneo in Kent Ridge are just some examples. The most recent, and arguably the fanciest of the lot, is Weave at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). This three-storey building houses both local and international brands, spanning from wallet-friendly to premium options. FYI, while Weave is open to the public, some stores are still in the works.

1. Homm Dessert

Your dessert fix is in good hands with Homm Dessert, a famous Thai dessert cafe from Melbourne. Their Weave mall opening marks the cafe’s second outlet in Singapore!

The stunning avalanche bingsu is what made the cafe popular, so we recommend the Thai Tea Avalanche Bingsu ($19.80++), layered with Thai milk tea snow, whipped cheese, creamy Thai tea sauce, freshly baked crumble, grass jelly, and a scoop of Thai tea gelato. Other flavours include Homm’s Taro Bingsu ($19.80++), Mango Sticky Rice Bingsu ($18.80++), and Salted Egg Coconut Avalanche Bingsu ($19.80++)

2. Chatterbox

If you think chicken rice only belongs to hawker centres, Chatterbox will prove you wrong with its premium dishes. The homegrown brand has been around since 1971—a good testament to how good the food is. Start with the signature Mandarin Chicken Rice, where you can choose from an Individual Set ($25++) to Half Chicken ($42++) or even a Whole Chicken ($78++). The set comes with a bed of fragrant jasmine rice, a bowl of warm soup, house-made chilli sauce, ginger puree, and dark soya sauce, but the best part is that the chicken is served boneless.

End your meal with some sweets, such as a comforting bowl of Cheng Tng ($9++) made using barley, snow fungus, and lotus seed, as well as Pandan Cake and Gelato ($15++) topped with coconut crumble and a scoop of soy pandan gelato.

3. Pierre Herme

entrements-table-by-pierre-herme-flatlay

Pierre Herme’s opening at Weave was the talk of the town because it marked the French brand’s first Southeast Asian store. For the uninitiated, Pierre Herme Singapore offers the world’s first ice cream bar and bubble tea, amid a sleek, gorgeous space.

But ice cream isn’t all the boutique has to offer: there’s a section dedicated to macarons, available in a vibrant selection of 18 different flavours, from $4++ a piece. The iconic Ispahan, AKA a fragrant blend of raspberry, lychee and rose, is a must-try. Alternatively, the Tarte Infiniment Vanille ($9++) is an equally delicious choice. This light and creamy entremet is a dream for vanilla lovers—it’s packed with vanilla mascarpone cream, vanilla ganache, vanilla glaze, and then finished with vanilla powder.

4. Niku Niku Oh Kome

NIKU-NIKU-OH-KOME-RWS-yolk

Niku Niku Oh Kome is an interesting addition to the scene; this Japanese-owned Chinese brand offers hamburg on rice sets at wallet-friendly prices. Yes, the beef patties take the spotlight here, but we’d also like to shout out the meticulously prepared rice that’s cooked with specially treated water for an extra fluffy finish. You can choose between the 2 Original Steak ($16.80++) and 3 Original Steak ($18.80++), best eaten with a marinated raw egg yolk to really bring out the tender texture of the Wagyu hamburg.

There are about 40 counter seats surrounding two central cooking stations, so we recommend coming in a pair instead of a big group.

5. Standard Bread

standard-bread

Korea is the land of all kinds of bakeries that specialise in different breads. Standard Bread, a popular Korean bakery with close to 20K followers on Instagram at the time of writing, recently opened its first overseas venture at Weave.

Since the bakery is known for its bread loaves, available in nine different flavours, we recommend getting one to see if it’s any good. The Salted Butter Bread ($12) and Basil Tomato Bread ($13) stood out to us; the former struck a balance between savoury and buttery, while the latter was an aromatic and slightly tangy alternative to your usual plain bread.

6. CHAGEE

CHAGEE needs no introduction. The popular Chinese tea brand has been expanding in Singapore at the speed of light since its return to the F&B scene in 2024.

If you don’t already have a favourite drink or don’t know what to get, start with the classic Jasmine Green Milk Tea (from $4.90) or Peach Oolong Milk Tea (from $4.90) for a fruity concoction. For something unique to CHAGEE, go straight for the Da Hong Pao Snow Cap Milk Tea ($6.90), topped with a beautiful swirl of white peach fresh cream and freeze-dried fig bits.

7. JUMBO Premium

One of Singapore’s prides and joys is JUMBO Premium, a famous homegrown seafood restaurant that serves up award-winning chilli crab. Beautifully adorned with warm, wooden accents throughout, the newly opened Weave outlet is perfect for bringing your loved ones on a special occasion.

First, choose from three types of crabs: Mud Crab ($10.80++/100g), Dungeness Crab ($10.80++/100g), and Alaskan Crab ($29.80++/100g). Then, pick your favourite cooking style from five variations. Notable options include Signature Black Pepper Crab, Stir Fried with Golden Salted Egg Crab, and Steamed Crab with Chinese Wine and Egg White

8. Din Tai Fung

Din Tai Fung is a no-brainer option for my family when I’m feeling too lazy to look for new spots to visit. My non-negotiables every time I’m at the famous Taiwanese restaurant include Steamed Vegetable & Pork Dumplings ($9.80++ for six), which comes in silky smooth dumpling skin that’s softer than a regular xiao long bao skin. But of course, you can’t go wrong with the classic Steamed Shrimp & Pork Dumplings ($11.50++ for six), which is best paired with the crowd-favourite Fried Rice with Pork Chop & Eggs ($15++) or Special Braised Beef Soup ($15.80++)

BTW, this Weave outlet offers cocktails, too! There are three signature cocktails on the menu, each inspired by a character in the brand name, Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐).

9. Coach Coffee Shop

It hasn’t been long since The Coach Bar opened in Chinatown, and we now have Coach Coffee Shop, where coffee, pastries, and sandwiches are the speciality. Speaking of sandwiches, we tried the Grilled Cheese ($13++), a delicious combination of  American cheddar, extra sharp cheddar, and gruyere, mellowed down with some sweet caramelised onions and mustard seeds. It also comes with a bowl of sweet-tangy tomato soup!

For a light bite, we recommend the Raspberry Glazed Cruller ($5.50++) instead; this deep-fried pastry boasts the perfect balance of fruity and citrusy flavours. There’s also the Singapore-exclusive Chilli Crab Soft Serve (from $9++), which sounds intimidating at first, but surprisingly tastes familiar, with a tomatoey aftertaste.

10. Mensho X

mensho-x-firebird

Here’s a soon-to-open restaurant to look forward to: Mensho X, a casual Japanese eatery with wallet-friendly ramen. This ramen restaurant specialises in toripaitan, AKA chicken broth ramen, and a bowl of Toripaitan Ramen starts from just $17++ here. What’s better is that you get a free serving of extra noodles with every ramen order!

For diehard mala fans, consider the Firebird Ramen ($20++), which features a creamy chicken broth cooked with Sichuan peppercorns, chilli paste, and black garlic oil. You also get a huge piece of tender Kurobuta pork ribeye chashu in this bowl.
