You can name all the best supper options in Singapore, from crispy prata to cheap hotpot, and I’d still pick dim sum in a heartbeat. There’s just something about having a plethora of dishes to choose from and sharing a bit of everything with friends. That’s why 126 Dim Sum, a long-standing eatery in Geylang that’s been around since 1985, recently caught my attention.

The dim sum eatery has an extensive menu, with the Signature Vermicelli Crab ($28) being one of its most popular items. Served in a huge portion and a whole fresh crab, we think it’s good value for money and best shared at the table.

There are the classic dim sum picks, too, including Ebiko Siew Mai ($5.30 for three), Pork Rib ($4.80), Fried Prawn Dumpling ($6.20), and Shanghai Soup Dumpling ($6.80 for three).
Speaking of siew mai, there are seven variations here: Abalone Siew Mai ($6.80), Seafood Tom Yam Siew Mai ($4.80), and Chilli Crab Siew Mai ($6.80) are some of the more interesting ones.
