99 Old Trees durian cafe Outram Park
Most of us are familiar with the durian delivery service 99 Old Trees offers. The local suppliers sell fresh durians that are on the market 12 hours after the fruit is harvested in Malaysia, as well as other durian by-products such as mousse and ice cream, under their sub-brand Stinky. The outfit has been running in Farrer Park for the past few years, but they have recently announced a move to Outram Park. The new 99 Old Trees is a full-fledged cafe with IG-worthy decor, and all-new durian desserts you can enjoy in central Singapore.
Located in a shophouse, the 99 Old Trees durian cafe is bright and spacious, with indoor and alfresco dining. Botanical elements, warm lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows all add to the airy ambience.
The chic decor is complemented by the menu of delicious desserts. First, the Stinky Bomb is a new offering, priced at $1.80 per piece with a minimum order of two.
Each choux puff is topped with a craquelin crumble—think a French version of polo bao—and piped with rich MSW cream.
Another addition is the Stinky Roll (from $6.50), a fluffy Japanese swiss roll piped with MSW durian-laced French custard cream. Actual durian flesh is used here, so expect each bite to be delightfully gao.
Durian mousse fans must try the Stinky Bowl (from $5.50), a lush serving of creamy mousse made from D24 puree. Add $1.50 to enjoy an extra shot of durian, if you wish.

For something lighter, the Stinky Chendul ($3) is a good bet. The coconutty chendol is rife with gula melaka goodness, and you can add on $2 to enjoy the dessert with durian flesh as a topping.

Don’t leave the 99 Old Trees cafe without bagging yourself their famed Stinky Scoop! This durian ice cream costs $28 per pint, which seems steep, until you find out that each container is made with the flesh of what is equivalent to two MSW durians.
Online orders, delivery, and self-pickup remain available from this new cafe, priced at $15 for islandwide delivery.
Note that the cafe is in-between Outram Park and Chinatown MRT Stations, so it is convenient to get to whichever way you’re coming from on the North-East Line.
