Croffles & Coffee is a new East Coast cafe with biscoff croffles

Just when we thought the croffle trend has come and gone, a new cafe specialising in the baked treat has entered the scene. Croffles & Coffee is a fairly recent addition to the East Coast hood, serving up freshly baked croffles in a variety of sweet and savoury flavours.

For the uninitiated, the croffle is a cross between a croissant and waffle. Croissant dough is cooked in a waffle maker for a short period of time, resulting in a crisp exterior and buttery layers within.

Prices start at $6+ for a Single Classic Croffle, paired with your choice of topping: Butter Sugar, Chocolate, Caramel, and Raspberry. The Butter Sugar flavour is a popular pick, as the crunchy sugar crystals add sweetness to the fragrant, buttery pastry.

For a zhnged-up dessert, order the Lotus Croffle ($8+).

Pair each square with a generous spoonful of the rich cream, and top it with the Biscoff crumbs for the ultimate sweet treat. Another way to enjoy your croffle is to have it paired with a scoop of gelato for a top-up of $5+.

If you’re more into savoury flavours, get the Seaweed Bonito Croffle ($9+), which features a freshly baked croffle topped with heapings of Kewpie mayo, seaweed shreds, and bonito flakes. Other savoury options are the Avocado ($9+) and Cheesy Parsley ($9+).

Those in need of a caffeine boost will be pleased with the selection of coffee here. The milky Iced Latte ($6+) is the perfect complement to the sweet croffles, but if you prefer something fancier, try the Hazelnut Latte ($6+) and Matcha Cloud Latte ($8+).

Croffles & Coffee sits along the busy main road, opposite Katong V. It’s a 10-minute bus ride from Dakota MRT Station, if you’re taking the train.
