San.wich in Lot One has colourful stuffed sandwiches
Good news for Westies: you can now get healthy, Japanese-inspired sandwiches at San.wich, a new sandwich kiosk in Lot One! They are located in Basement One of the mall, which is right next to Choa Chu Kang MRT Station.
San.wich is managed by the folks behind popular local bakery Swee Heng. If you haven’t noticed, their name is inspired by the Chinese character ‘三’ which translates to ‘three’, with the three lines that make up this character resembling a sandwich.Â
What makes their sandwiches look so enticing is the colourful bread used—these are baked daily with natural ingredients such as pumpkin, beetroot, and sweet potato, and no added colourings. All their sandwiches are prepared in-store daily, ensuring the freshness and quality of their items.Â
Their signature sandwich is the Soy Garlic Chicken Cutlet And Cheese With Egg ($3), which stars grilled chicken, fluffy scrambled eggs, lettuce, and a slice of cheese sandwiched between two slices of pumpkin bread. Koreaboos would probably love their Spicy Korean Chicken And Kimchi With Egg ($3.20), which has a spicy-savoury combination of kimchi slices and chicken.
You can also get other types of protein in your sandwich, such as Fish Fillet With Egg ($2.80), Tuna With Egg ($3), and even Snow Crab With Egg ($3.20)!Â
Apart from their classic items, they also have trendy sandwiches including Cream Cheese Apple Sandwich ($3.20), which includes sweet apple chunks within a thick layer of cream cheese. The Assorted Fruits Sandwich ($3.20) stars strawberry, melon and kiwi within a sweet layer of fresh cream, just in case you wanted to grab your daily dose of Vitamin C. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s even a Kit Kat Brownie Sandwich ($3.20) that pairs a chewy brownie with the classic chocolate snack within the sandwich!
