Chinese New Year is a time for families to come together and enjoy all sorts of good eats, such as those offered by Din Tai Fung. If you’re a DBS or POSB Cardmember and a Din Tai Fung fan, we’re happy to report that there are special discounts you can get for the Chinese restaurant’s CNY goodies and other dishes.

To usher in the Lunar New Year, consider getting Din Tai Fung’s Prosperity Yu Sheng sets. Available for dine-in, takeaway, and e-store order, the restaurant offers three versions of the dish: the Abundance Abalone Yu Sheng ($88.80++), Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng ($58.80++), and Vegetarian Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng ($53.80++). DBS or POSB Cardmembers will receive 10% off dine-in yusheng orders.
If you’re unsure of which one to get, we recommend the Abundance Abalone Yu Sheng, a new addition to Din Tai Fung’s yusheng selection. This set is built on a base of classic yusheng ingredients: julienned carrots, green and white radish, toasted white sesame seeds, roasted peanuts, and Din Tai Fung’s crispy yam strips. Then, the duo of smoked salmon slices and succulent abalone crown the dish, giving it a premium touch.

Another CNY treat you can take home is Din Tai Fung’s Pineapple Cakes. For $24.80, you’ll get a box of 10 golden cakes with crumbly crusts and sweet pineapple fillings. These cakes are crafted using fresh Taiwan pineapples, celebrated for their low acidity and amazing sweetness.
Flash your DBS or POSB Card to get 10% off three or more pineapple cake boxes, and an additional 5% off for six or more boxes. That means you get a total of 15% off with the purchase of 6 boxes and above.

Aside from these CNY goodies, there are plenty more delicious eats to have at Din Tai Fung during this festive season. The Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao ($12.80++), where juicy minced pork filling is artfully wrapped in an 18-fold pleated skin, is surely the restaurant’s most iconic dish. Given that it’s the Year of the Dragon, few dishes fit the occasion as well as xiao long bao, which translates to “little dragon bun”.

The Oriental Salad in Tangy Vinegar Dressing ($6.80++) is a great appetiser for any meal. This cold dish features shredded seaweed, bean sprouts, beancurd, and rice vermicelli all drenched in a tangy sesame oil-based dressing.

An original creation by the Research & Development team in Singapore, the Crispy Golden Prawn Pancake ($12.80++) is another recommended dish. Carefully selected prawns are wrapped in beancurd skin and fried until crispy, resulting in a delicious side dish that’ll leave you wanting more.

No Din Tai Fung meal is complete without their classic Fried Rice with Shrimps and Eggs ($15.80++). With Taiwanese pearl grain rice, succulent shrimp, fresh eggs, and spring onions as the core ingredients, this famous fried rice dish shines with its fragrance and flavour.
Do note that from now till 11 December 2024, DBS or POSB Cardmembers can get a $5 return voucher with a minimum spend of $88 at Din Tai Fung restaurants islandwide. When taken with the aforementioned CNY goodie deals, that’s a good amount of savings you can get this Chinese New Year at Din Tai Fung.
