The kunafa trend is showing no signs of slowing down in 2025—people are still putting fresh, exciting spins on the dish! The latest to hop on board is Sugar Mama Lah, a stall that recently opened within the lifestyle marketplace, Curbside Crafter.

With its wide variety of colourful tiramisu cakes on offer, Sugar Mama Lah will surely appeal to fans of cute, Insta-worthy sweet treats. But it is perhaps their Pistachio Kunafa Tiramisu ($13.90) that is turning the most heads.
This indulgent treat layers tiramisu cake, chocolate, pistachio, and crispy kunafa pastry for a rich, textured bite. It is also designed to resemble a block of earth, complete with a little flower on top—you’ll definitely want to take a photo of this.
Another must-try treat is the Taro Tiramisu ($12.90), featuring a gorgeous purple top layer over a soft tiramisu cake. While this treat isn’t as flavourful as the pistachio kunafa, we found it well-balanced, especially with the subtle earthiness of the taro complementing the dessert’s sweetness.
Blanketed with matcha powder, the Matcha Tiramisu ($10.90) was a fun fusion of earthy matcha and creamy mascarpone. Interestingly, this treat has a chocolate 福 symbol on top, clearly in celebration of Chinese New Year.
Sugar Mama Lah has a total of eight different flavours to try, so do drop by and check them out if you’re interested! FYI, they’re a seven-minute walk away from Bugis MRT Station, so it shouldn’t be too hard to locate them.
