We’ve got sad news: Hui Ming Fishball Noodle, a popular fishball noodle stall in Toa Payoh, is set to close in July 2025. According to a comment on the Facebook group Toa Payoh Makan Places, the stall is shutting down as the uncle who runs the stall is “too old to continue”, and his son is “not really interested” in taking over.

The stall has been operating for more than 40 years, with generations of patrons coming back for its Fishball Minced Meat Noodle ($4.50). Each bowl comes with chilli-tossed noodles, heaps of minced meat, mushroom slices, fish cake, and of course, some fishballs. Many have praised the stall for its fishballs, which are said to be large, fresh, and springy.
