2. Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

To celebrate SG60, popular Japanese yakiniku restaurant Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ is offering diners the best of both worlds: a menu of a la carte meats and seafood that spotlight true-blue Singaporean flavours.
Available at all outlets, the SG60-exclusive lineup includes premium picks like the A4 Wagyu Rendang ($35.60++), starring Kagoshima A4 Wagyu Nakaochi that’s been marinated in rendang spices, then slow-braised to melt-in-your-mouth ends. You’ll also find bold fusion offerings like the Chilli Crab-Style Karubi ($10.60++), featuring tender short rib slices paired with a sweet and spicy chilli crab-inspired sauce.
Non-beef options are also available, from the Chicken Rendang ($10.60++) to Prawn Rendang ($14.60++), as well as the Chilli Crab Style-Chicken ($9.60++), all of which are available a la carte or as part of set meals.
End your feast on a nostalgic note with the Gyu-Kaku Milo Ice Cream ($4.80++)—a local take on their signature dessert that’s sure to hit the spot.

3. McDonald’s x JUMBO Seafood
ICYMI: McDonald’s has teamed up with iconic zi char brand JUMBO Seafood to roll out a new locally inspired SG60 menu. The stars of the lineup are the Chilli Crab Sauce Prawn Burger and Chilli Crab Sauce Chicken Burger, available from $8.95 for an Extra Value Meal. Both feature a special chilli crab sauce based on JUMBO’s award-winning recipe, which leans sweet with a gentle spicy kick. We recommend the prawn patty as it pairs excellently with the piquant sauce.
Besides the new burgers, the Kampung Drumlets (from $3.35)—crispy fried chicken wings coated in chilli, turmeric, cumin, and ginger—are another must-try. The popular Pulut Hitam Pie (from $1.80), first launched in 2022, has also made a comeback.

5. FairPrice
FairPrice has rolled out a new range of potato chips in unique flavours, and one of them is said to taste just like your morning kopi. A nod to everyone’s favourite Nanyang-style coffee, the new Kopi Potato Chips are a limited-time snack under the FairPrice housebrand. They feature a strong coffee aroma, but we found it lacking in flavour. You’ll also find the more “conventional” Laksa and Black Pepper flavours; the former comes with notes of coconut milk, curry, and chilli, while the latter is peppery and umami.
These SG60-exclusive potato chips are going for $2.50 each. You can get them at all FairPrice outlets, while stocks last.
