If you’ve visited a Hai Kah Lang outlet in Malaysia, you’ll know how wildly popular it is. The one in Johor Bahru (JB), for example, often sees its entrance packed with diners waiting for a table—many of them Singaporeans. For those diners, we have good news: the Michelin-approved eatery is opening at Funan mall this September 2025!

Hai Kah Lang is celebrated for its seafood noodles and fish soup. Though the Singapore menu hasn’t been confirmed, Hai Kah Lang’s outlets in Malaysia all share a consistent lineup, so it’s safe to expect the same here too.

The must-try here is the Mixed Seafood Noodle, a soup noodle dish jam-packed with ingredients: there are prawns, fish slices, lala, squid, and even crab. The fresh seafood, coupled with a clear broth that’s umami-packed, makes this a bowl you’ll want to return to again and again.

Also look forward to the Signature Sauce Mix Seafood Dry Noodle, said to be tossed in a savoury sauce spiked with addictive hae bee hiam. Like the soup version, this comes loaded with seafood, but here you’ll also get fresh, bouncy fishballs.

A more piquant option would be the Tom Yam Tiger Prawn Noodle, featuring a seafood soup laced with tangy tom yum flavours and chunky tiger prawns. There’s a whole lot more to try on Hai Kah Lang’s Malaysia menu, so we’re hoping that we get that same diversity here!
