Deliveroo is ceasing operations in Singapore on 4 March 2026

Deliveroo users, it may be time to switch to Grab or Foodpanda. After more than 10 years in operation, the food delivery app has announced that it is winding down operations in Singapore, with an official shutdown date on 4 March 2026. So if you have any last orders or vouchers to use, now would be a good time.

In an announcement on their website, Deliveroo explained that it was a”difficult decision” that follows a review of country-specific conditions and their focus on investing where they see the clearest path to sustainable scale and long-term leadership.
Additionally, Miki Kuusi, head of DoorDash International and CEO of Deliveroo, had this to say: “Over the last 11 years, we have been proud to help shape food delivery in Singapore, giving consumers access to a wide variety of restaurant and grocery partners.

For those unaware, Deliveroo was acquired by DoorDash in 2025, which makes it all the more notable that it is already winding up the business.
Social media platforms are already filled with reactions to the closure. In one Reddit thread, netizens lamented the news, claiming Deliveroo was “better than Grab and foodpanda”. Others shared that they had only just subscribed to the yearly plan and are now trying to sort out refunds. But our thoughts go out to the delivery riders, whose livelihoods may be impacted by this unexpected closure.
