O/sio is a new pasta restaurant in Tanjong Pagar

Earlier this year, we reviewed Sio Pasta, an Italian-inspired pasta restaurant by the Michelin-approved Japanese chef, Shusaku Toba. Its sister restaurant, O/Sio, is opening its first international outpost in Tanjong Pagar on 4 November 2026.
Designed for everything from casual lunches and after-work drinks to long round-the-table dinners, he hopes to bring the easy-going essence of the original Tokyo outlet to Singapore.

O/Sio specialises in hearty a la carte dishes, charcoal-grilled meats, and fresh pasta, with a complementary wine programme specially curated by Chef Toba. Start your meal with their Crispy Sweet Shrimp (price TBD) or Crispy Chicken Skin (price TBD), both served with a lemon wedge for a hint of acidity.

If you prefer something lighter, their Fig Butter Bruschetta (price TBD) comprises a lightly toasted baguette slice, topped with creamy fig-flavoured butter and salty slices of prosciutto. This was a fan favourite at their original Japan outlet.

Their mains start from $18.80, including the Singapore-exclusive Smoked Truffle Carbonara (price TBD): spaghetti tossed in a creamy carbonara sauce and topped with a generous shaving of black truffle. Seafood lovers can enjoy their Seafood Pomodoro (price TBD), served in a tomato-based sauce and topped with a medley of seafood: prawns, mussels, squid and more.

Carnivores like myself can go for the Charcoal-grilled Angus Beef Steak (price TBD), which is highly raved about at their Tokyo outlet. Expect a flame-grilled fillet of steak served with a side of golden-brown fries.

In my opinion, no meal is done without a dessert. Order their Tiramisu (price TBD), featuring layers of mascarpone cream sandwiched between coffee-infused ladyfingers, and finished with a dusting of cocoa powder.
O/Sio is a six-minute walk away from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station.
