Drinks such as the Castle In The Sky (RM23) and Glowing Sunset (RM16), which is topped by cotton candy, are equally gorgeous as well.

Four Beans is a popular dessert chain with nine outlets across JB. We checked out the one at Mount Austin, and enjoyed the World of Taro Soy Beancurd (RM16+), which combined creamy taro and soft beancurd. It comes with brown sugar and soya milk on the side, which you can add according to your liking. We were also fans of the Black Sesame Shaved Ice with Taro Ball (RM20+), where a pile of shaved black sesame ice is topped with a scoop of sweet red bean paste and chewy taro balls.

There’s also the Rose Watermelon Cake (RM20+): inspired by the famous Black Star Pastry in Australia, this delicate cube is layered with almond cake, cream, lychee, strawberry, and a wedge of watermelon.

There’s also the Earl Grey Red Velvet Mousse Cake (RM16++), which infuses Earl Grey tea with a sweet red velvet taste—we found that it strikes a good balance between the sweet and earthy flavours.

While there’s a dipndip outlet in Singapore, you might want to check out the Mid Valley Southkey JB outlet for its cheaper price. This cafe focuses on chocolate desserts, using rich Belgian chocolate in every dish. Try the Pancake Brownie Club (RM35), with buttermilk pancakes, house-made brownies, and fresh strawberries, topped with milk, dark, and white chocolate from their fountains. Another crowd favourite is the Fettuccine Crepe (RM39.50), with shredded crepes that look like pasta drenched in milk chocolate.

Re Patisserie is a Korean-inspired dessert café near JB customs, with a minimalist interior of wooden tones and rattan chairs that’s great for the ‘gram. The menu changes often, but we tried the Happy Nut (RM23+), a choux puff filled with pistachio cream and topped with crunchy pistachio bits. Another highlight was the Cloud Hill (RM29+), a fruit tart layered with cream and a hint of bourbon. Pair your desserts with an Iced Espresso Matcha (from RM17+) for an earthy finish.

Don’t leave without trying the Genmaicha Mochi Tart (RM12+), a warm buttery tart filled with soft, chewy mochi and topped with crispy cookie crumbs. Beyond desserts, the cafe also serves Japanese-inspired mains, including Salmon Yuzu Ochazuke (RM33+), comprising rice immersed in broth with crispy yuzu-glazed salmon.
