To welcome the Lunar New Year, BreadTalk has just released a whole range of exciting CNY buns and goodies you’ll not want to miss. This well-loved homegrown bakery chain is constantly coming up with innovative items to spruce up their menu.

Their latest festive addition, the Mala Pot, is one that’s been going viral on TikTok. While you may expect a regular bun with mala filling, this bun instead replicates the look of an actual mala steamboat pot. At $6.80, this bun has pork meatballs, surimi snow crab leg, mushrooms, broccoli, tau pok, lotus root, and cherry tomatoes laid atop a spicy mala chicken-stuffed bun.

Another festive treat to look forward to is the Hoppy Carrot ($3.20) bun, a savoury treat inspired by the hawker-favourite chai tow kway, AKA fried carrot cake. On each bun, you’ll find chunks of radish cake, fried egg, green onions, and preserved radish.

Aside from bread, BreadTalk has also got cookies and snacks to jazz up your spread of CNY goodies. Ondeh-ondeh lovers will love the Mini Ondeh Ondeh ($14.80), a pandan-infused pastry that’s stuffed with sweet coconut filling.

You can also get the Big Blessings Set ($72.80), an all-in-one gift pack that comprises a mix of BreadTalk’s CNY snacks. These include Mini Pineapple Pastry, Mini Ondeh Ondeh, Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies, Cheesy Carrot Cookies, Cashew Nut Cookies, and Chocolate Cookies.

You can get your hands on these treats on BreadTalk’s website or at any physical store.
