If you’ve been looking for a reason to finally clock out on time, Heineken First Sip House is it. Running from 7 May to 16 May 2026 at Keong Saik Road, this free-entry, after-work pop-up spans three floors of beertails, bites, and experiences built around one rule: the first sip can’t wait. At the heart of it is the First Sip Bar, where award-winning mixologist June Baek and chef Justin Hammond have put together four Pure Malt bar bites and beer cocktail pairings—think Tangy Tuna Tartare with a Soju Bomb, or 48-hour slow-cooked Beef Short Rib Tacos with a Heineken Michelada.

General admission is free and includes a pint of Heineken, or grab a Pure Malt Beertail & Bites ticket at $21 via Klook for the full experience.

2. Pompompurin pop-up at Japan Rail Cafe

Sanrio fans, this one’s for you. Japan Rail Cafe in Tanjong Pagar has transformed into a Pompompurin-themed retreat from 4 May to 14 June 2026, complete with life-sized plushies scattered around for your best photo ops.

The “Pompompurin Tohoku Trip” menu includes the Pompompurin Curry Rice ($22.90++), with egg rice shaped like Pompompurin himself sitting in a rich savoury curry, and the Pompompurin Pudding Parfait ($12.90++), a caramel pudding topped with whipped cream that’s every bit as adorable as it sounds. Each order also comes with exclusive Pompompurin merch—desk mat, coaster, or magnet, depending on what you get—so you’ll be going home with more than just a full belly.

3. Boutiques Singapore Spring Summer Edition

More than just a shopping fair, Boutiques Singapore returns for its Spring Summer edition from 15 May to 17 May at the F1 Pit Building in Marina Bay, with over 300 independent brands across fashion, beauty, home, and food. The food spread is a draw in itself—highlights include Chimichanga‘s loaded tacos, Tipo‘s handmade pasta, and The Ramen Club Japan, which reimagines ramen into snackable formats, all anchored by the returning Garage Cafe, now doubling as a casual bar and dining space.

4. Singapore Food Expo 2026

Billed as Asia’s longest-running food show, this free-entry event brings together local F&B brands, live cooking demos, hot food sampling, and exclusive expo-only deals across four days. 5. World Class Cocktail Festival

The World Class Cocktail Festival 2026 invites cocktail lovers to explore Singapore through a curated “cocktail passport experience” from 24 February to 31 May 2026. Across 21 bars, guests can sample five signature cocktails at each stop, crafted with iconic spirits like Johnnie Walker, Don Julio, The Singleton, Tanqueray, and Zacapa. The first bar you visit will get you a World Class Cocktail Passport, which you can then bring to the other 20 bars to collect unique stamps. The more stamps you rack up, the better, as you can earn rewards such as vouchers and merchandise!

The Singapore Food Festival will be returning this year for yet another month‑long celebration of Singapore’s rich food culture! While exact details for the 2026 dates are still being finalised, past editions have taken place across multiple iconic spots in Singapore, from pop‑up experiences to hawker centres. In last year’s edition, the Singapore Food Festival featured roving Food Truck City Tours, celebrity chef pop-ups including Adriano Zumbo and MahaCo Dosa Bar, and themed dining experiences such as The Long Table and Food is Art.

While the list of vendors and other details has yet to be confirmed, the past few GastroBeats are a good indicator of what to expect. 8. Oktoberfest Singapore

Singapore’s take on Oktoberfest, the beloved Bavarian beer and food celebration, will make a comeback in 2026 with a variety of festive events around the city, typically running from September through October. 10. Cheese Wonder pop-up at ION Orchard

The viral Japanese cheesecake brand that had people queuing for hours in Hong Kong has finally landed in Singapore. Cheese Wonder is running an eight-week pop-up at ION Orchard Basement 4 from 8 May 2026, and if you’ve been curious about the hype, now’s your chance.

The signature no-bake frozen cheesecake is made with Hokkaido dairy and free-range eggs, with two layers—a light cheese souffle and a creamier cheese mousse—over a crunchy cookie base. The fun part: it’s designed to be eaten at different stages of thawing, each delivering a different texture. Prices start at $35.90 for four pieces, with a limited-time strawberry version (Cheese Wonder Red) going for $42.90 for four.
