Get Pretty Jello Bowls, Avocado Sago And More At This New Bedok Stall

Hello Jello at Bedok Market Place has jello dessert bowls

When you think of hawker desserts, you might think of chendol, beancurd, bubur cha cha, or ice kacang. But long gone are the days when hawker stalls are confined to just dishes of tradition. One of the many hawker stalls switching things up is Hello Jello, a dessert stall at Bedok Market Place selling colourful jello bowls.

Hello Jello’s jello bowls are pretty simple: shaved ice as the base to set the cold temperature, cream or puree for substance, and various toppings such as sago balls, pearls, fruit-flavoured jello, and jelly noodles for extra texture and flavour.

They have a total of five jello bowls but we recommend the Mango Sago & Red Tea Jello ($6.90) and the Passionfruit & Soursop with Earl Grey Jello ($6.90), which were super refreshing.

The former comprises chunky mango puree, red tea jello, sweetened sago, mango jelly strips, vanilla cream, and coconut milk. The latter consists of passionfruit soursop puree, Earl Grey jelly, lychee jelly, brown sugar pearls, and Calpis soda!

They also have an Avocado Sago & Coconut Soba ($7.50) bowl, which draws inspiration from Yat Ka Yan’s famous avocado sago dessert, but with a jello-infused twist. This bowl ended up being our favourite of the bunch because of the nice balance of sweet and milky flavours!

Other than jello bowls, they also have an array of juices and shakes perfect to cool off from the debilitating heat.

Choose from Original Soursop Juice with Lychee Jello Strips ($4.20), Passionfruit & Soursop Juice with Earl Grey Jello ($4.50), Mango Shake with Sago and Red Tea Jello ($4.50), Avocado Shake with Coconut Soba ($5.80), and Yuan Yang Shake ($3.90).

For easy access, Bedok Market Place is a 12-minute walk from Tanah Merah MRT Station.

For more Bedok eats, check out Bing Chilling, a gelato cafe open till 12am. There’s also Ground Floor Coffee for good coffee.
