Holiday Inn Express has Teochew porridge buffet

It’s rare to find buffets that cost less than $15, but for a limited time only, you can find one at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Singapore Novena. The hotel has launched their Teochew Porridge Buffet, priced at $13.40++ (U.P. $26.80++) from now till 31 March 2024.
Only available on Saturdays and Sundays, this porridge buffet offers more than 20 traditional Teochew and local dishes you can have your fill of along with sweet potato porridge. These include favourites such as steamed fish cake, chai poh omelette, and braised pork belly.

There seem to be several fish dishes you can try as well, such as steamed pomfret and deep-fried batang fish. Fans of typical Teochew porridge are likely to enjoy the spread of dishes available here.

Be sure to get yourself a plate of braised duck as well. We hear that each customer gets just one plate of this dish, but unless that’s all you’re gunning for, the other free-flow dishes more than make up for this. Aside from the duck, other specialities you can redeem only once include drunken prawns, har cheong kai, crispy pork chop and more.
