Karen’s Diner pop-up in Singapore
The name Karen has, in recent years, taken on quite the negative connotation. It’s defined by Dictionary.com as an “obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people’s behaviours”. Enter Karen’s Diner, an original, interactive dining experience that claims to have “great burgers” and “rude service” that’s coming to Singapore for a limited time only!

The 1960s-style diner first popped up in Sydney last October, and has now spawned locations across Australia, Europe, and America, going viral on social media for their deliberately bad service. This pop-up in Singapore will be their first ever in Asia, and although there’s no news about when they’re opening, we know that they will end their run by 31 May 2023.

Food-wise, look forward to classic American diner fare, with more than 10 different burgers all named after—you guessed it—Karen. There’s the Cheesed Off Karen, a breakfast burger with halloumi and fried halloumi chips on a milk bun, and The ‘I Want To See The Manager’ Karen, which stars two Wagyu beef patties with bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, pickles, and Manager BBQ-Mustard Sauce.

The cheeky burger names continue with Karen’s Best Breast, which features grilled chicken breast, with bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado, and Peri-Peri Mayo.

On the side, look forward to Karen’s Chicken Bingo Wings, tossed in your choice of Honey BBQ Sauce or Buffalo Sauce, with a side of Blue Cheese or Ranch Sauce.

Complete your Karen’s Diner meal with Thickshakes in Chocolate, Oreo, Salted Caramel and more, or quirkily-named shots such as I’ve Been Waiting 10 Minutes For Service and You’ve Just Lost My Business.
