Beloved Indonesian coffee chain Kenangan Coffee is now open in Raffles City! Established in 2017, it is currently Indonesia’s fastest-growing F&B chain, with over 850 locations across Southeast Asia as of this year. Its immense popularity and market presence have invited comparisons with coffee giant Starbucks, albeit with more affordable prices. What’s more, they’re also halal-certified!

A cup of Americano, for instance, starts at $3.90 for a small size, while a Cappuccino is priced from $4.50. Upgrades such as switching to oat milk or adding an espresso shot are also available at $0.80 each.

Their relatively low prices don’t mean they’re compromising on taste—as part of their mission of bringing affordable, delicious Indonesian coffee to coffee lovers worldwide, Kenangan Coffee sources high-quality coffee beans exclusively from local farmers all over Indonesia.

As someone who prefers milky coffee, my personal favourite is the Hot Creamy Latte (from $4.90), which boasts an extra creamy mouthfeel and a full-bodied espresso flavour.

Kenangan Coffee’s signature Kenangan Latte (from $4.90) comprises their Creamy Latte blended with black aren. Also known as gula aren, black aren shares a similar texture as gula melaka, but has a more pronounced caramel-molasses flavour. A highlight of black aren is its minimally processed nature and low glycemic index, making it a great choice for health-conscious coffee drinkers.

Another must-try is their Ice Avocado Coffee (from $6.50). Here, avocado and milk are added to espresso to create a creamy, earthy drink with a thick and silky consistency,

Those who are looking for something caffeine-free can also try their series of coffee alternatives. We recommend getting the Ice Shaken Strawberry Tea (from $4.50), a pleasantly sweet and refreshing fruit tea.

You can also pair your drink with a snack from their bakery: savoury options include Chicken Cheese Sausage Puff ($4.50), Tuna Puff ($3.70), and Curry Puff ($3.70).

If you have a sweet tooth, consider ordering a Salted Caramel Cruffin ($4.20) instead, which is a muffin-shaped croissant with a salted caramel filling.
