Biscoff Ang Ku Kueh at Kueh Ho Jiak

Local kueh-maker Kueh Ho Jiak is known for their innovative and colourful, IG-worthy creations. This Yuletide season, they’ve added a new kueh to their line-up, with a Lotus Biscoff Ang Ku Kueh!

This newest addition to their selection of kueh rides on the back of the biscoff trend, making the traditional sticky-chewy kueh modern with a caramelised cookie filling. Since they’re a festive special, these ang ku kueh have also been made using custom Christmas-themed moulds, featuring icons such as Christmas trees, and reindeer heads, in vibrant purple and orange hues.

They’ve also got Strawberry Puteri Ayu ($9 for six), which is a pretty, pink, strawberry jam-filled version of the traditional green pandan kueh. Puteri ayu, which translates to ‘pretty princess’, has been made to be less sweet here.

The popular kueh establishment has stalls in Tanjong Pagar Food Centre and Chinatown Complex Hawker Centre, where their selection of kueh are made fresh daily by hand. There aren’t any preservatives or artificial colourings in these kueh; there’s no pork or lard used here, too.
