Singapore is home to many Taiwanese food places offering lu rou fan, AKA braised pork rice. Though the dish is common enough, Lin’s Braised, a hawker stall at Dunman Food Centre, brings something new to the table by offering Hakka style lu rou fan and more.

Lin’s Braised was started by a former manager, who decided to become a hawker during the pandemic. The stall serves up braised food, made with recipes and cooking techniques acquired from the founder’s trips throughout Taiwan.

Try the Signature Hakka Braised Pork Rice Bowl ($5.80), which comes with chunks of pork belly braised in an aromatic, delightfully savoury gravy, to tender ends. The gravy is a blend of 16 spices, so expect tons of flavour.
The meat is served atop short-grain rice, with accompanying kiam cai, or preserved vegetables, tau kwa and a hardboiled egg. Everything here is made from scratch, so a lot of dedication goes into each spoonful.

They also have Braised Pork Trotter Rice ($8.80), with the same gravy, but fattier pork knuckles.
Explore more of Lin’s Braised sauced-up offerings with their Kway Chap Platter ($5). The portion is made for one person, and comes with a platter full of offal and pork, as well as a portion of housemade kway. The platter comes with pork belly, well-cleaned offal, and kway swimming in a slurpable gravy.

They have also recently revamped their menu, with all-new handmade la mian dishes. There are three items: Hakka Braised Pork La Mian with Egg ($5.80), Spicy Pork Intestine La Mian with Egg ($6.80), and Braised Pork Trotter La Mian with Salted Vegetable ($8.80). You can opt for your order to be spicy or non-spicy.
