Best new restaurants and cafes in October 2025
If you’re on the hunt for fresh dining spots, we’ve got you covered. From trendy cafes and bakeries to new restaurant openings, this month brings plenty of reasons to dine out in Singapore. Here’s our roundup of the best new restaurants and cafes for October 2025!
Table of Contents
1. Fortuna Terrazza
Opened by the popular pizzeria Fortuna Singapore, Fortuna Terrazza is an Italian brunch cafe that’s only a four-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. You can expect a lineup of toasts, desserts, and drinks here, with most items priced between $15++ and $30++.
One of our favourites during our visit was the Buongiorno Toast ($26++), a sourdough slice with folded eggs covered in creamy truffle mayonnaise, topped with a thick-cut maple-glazed bacon. The sweet glaze was a fantastic pairing with the truffle mayo, making every bite enjoyable without being cloying. Otherwise, the RicottaMisu Hot Cake ($18++) is great for sharing, where two stacked pancakes are drenched in house-made coffee sauce, made tastier with a dollop of mascarpone coffee cream and chocolate crumble.

2. BreadTalk VivoCity
The newly revamped BreadTalk at VivoCity is like no other BreadTalk outlet in Singapore. There are live cooking stations, conveyor decks, and pizza ovens, all for baking over 50 outlet-exclusive items.
You must try the Babyface ($7.20), a souffle pudding dessert featuring a caramel pudding atop a slice of roll cake. The Strawbrulee Layer Tart ($5.20) is another popular sweet treat, starring a brulee tart, egg tart pudding, and fresh strawberries. For savoury options, consider getting their sliders in a variety of flavours: Truffle Chicken Slider ($5.80) made with truffle mashed potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, chicken katsu, and charcoal buns, or the Beef Rendang Slider ($6) packed with mozzarella cheese, hashbrown, and rendang beef curry.

3. Kimchi Mama
For affordable Korean food in Singapore, head to Kimchi Mama. This Bugis+ eatery has items from $5.90++, with most of their mains priced under $20++. Do note, though, that you don’t get the most authentic Korean dining experience here, as no pork or lard is used.
For a filling lunch, consider the Hotstone Kimchi Beef Steak Rice ($14.90++) and Hotstone Spicy Cheesy Chicken Rice ($12.90++). Though the beef steak slices were tender, we preferred the latter as it was more flavourful. For Korean fried chicken fans, here’s a tip: get the Boneless Chikin ($8.90++) and dip the pieces in the Corn Cheese ($6.90++) for salty, sweet, and savoury goodness.

4. Restaurant JAG
Since opening in 2018, Michelin-starred Restaurant JAG has become known for its vegetable-centric cuisine, prepared with French culinary techniques. The restaurant is currently led by Executive Chef Laurence Tan and General Manager Maryjoy Lim, though co-founder Anant Tyagi remains involved in strategic oversight.
We visited Restaurant JAG for their Summer 2025 a la carte menu, where fresh, seasonal produce takes centre stage. A standout new appetiser is the Sanchoku Wagyu Beef Tartar (from $48++), featuring Wagyu with oyster sauce, soy sauce, and spring onions, and finished with toasted sesame and grain mustard. The tartare was executed flawlessly, with a balanced flavour that was neither too gamey nor overwhelmingly meaty.
For mains, you won’t go wrong with the Whole Roasted Pigeon ($98++), where the bird is roasted till crisp on the outside and tender within, then served with beetroot in three forms: puree, pickled, and baked en croute. We recommend pairing the protein with a side of Creamy Polenta ($23++), a Restaurant JAG staple that’s velvety-smooth and earthy.

5. Air CCCC
If you’re searching for the perfect lunch date spot in Dempsey, look no further. Air CCCC, now led by the newly appointed Head Chef Part Nongnuch, has rolled out a new menu spotlighting seasonal ingredients and house-made elements. They offer a value-for-money lunch set, priced at $58++ per person for two courses and $68++ for three.
There are three starters to choose from: Sweet Corn from Talula, where white corn chutney is served with corn husk emping chips, Ceviche of Local Mahi Mahi with pink guava and garden herbs, and Caesar Salad, featuring confit duck with grilled coconut. We recommend topping up $14++ for a side of Purple Potato Flat Bread, paired with an umami-laden Mushroom “XO” Butter. For mains, the Extra Creamy Barley Risotto is a standout for its comforting flavour; otherwise, the Charred Spanish Mackerel, combined with pickled onions, zucchini, and scallop sauce, is equally yummy.

6. Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie
To mark its fifth anniversary, Singapore’s bean-to-bar chocolatier Mr. Bucket has launched a refreshed dine-in menu at its Dempsey cafe. Diners can enjoy a lineup of cacao-led, tapas-style dishes, inspired by Southeast Asian flavours.
The Seared Salmon ($18++) is an interesting pick that combines coca nibs with black sesame, baby potatoes, and caramelised fennel. For something lighter on the palate, get the Cacao Tea Somen ($12++), a Japanese-inspired number comprising poached chicken, marinated tomato, and pickled shimeiji, in a nourishing cacao tea and tomato broth. Alternatively, those craving something heartier can consider the Signature Beef Burger ($19++), starring a juicy Angus beef patty, cheddar, and pickles, slathered with a savoury chocolate BBQ sauce, tucked between two brioche buns.
Address: 13 Dempsey Road, #01-03/04, Singapore 249674

7. Ki-sho

Save this spot for your next special occasion meal: Ki-sho is a cosy 11-seater Japanese restaurant near Orchard that offers evolving multi-course omakase menus. Headed by Chef Taro Takayama, renowned for his mastery of Kappo cuisine, the restaurant has just rolled out a refreshed menu starring Singapore’s first Tottori Wagyu—a highly prized, award-winning cut that’s said to boast a superb, melt-in-the-mouth quality.

Another standout is the signature Donabe Rice: fluffy grains slow-cooked in a traditional Japanese earthenware pot. A special rice blend from Sumidaya Shoten in Tokyo is used, while toppings vary seasonally, from ikura cured in Chef’s very own dashi-soy blend to crab. The dish is accompanied by a rich miso soup that’s made with fish bone essence.
Omakase lunch starts at $160++ per person for six courses, while dinner is priced from $280++ for seven courses.

8. Osteria Mozza
When we talk about Osteria Mozza, there’s one name you must remember: Nancy Silverton, the famous chef who founded the Michelin-approved Italian restaurant. She recently launched a five-course handmade pasta tasting menu, priced at $88++ per person.
The Mafaldine all’Amatriciana, featuring eggless pasta, was a memorable dish. The creamy, tomato-based sauce came with bits of savoury pork jowl, pairing well with the al dente noodles. Cavatelli, the third dish, was also interesting; the toasted breadcrumbs added textural variety to the otherwise chewy pasta. Finally, cheese lovers will love the last dish, Fonduta Ravioli, as each pasta is packed with three kinds of cheeses: Fontina, Parmigiano Reggiano, and Pecorino Romano.

9. Yoajung
Froyo chains seem to have a chokehold on a lot of us these days, and Yoajung is here to ride the wave of popularity. If you haven’t heard of them before, Yoajung is the most popular frozen yoghurt chain in Korea, and they have finally opened a store in Singapore at *SCAPE.
Choose between a small ($3) and medium ($5) cup, then add as many toppings as you want. The prices really depend on what you’re getting; for example, the Dalgona Candy and Oreo O’s Cereal are priced at $1.50 each, while a slab of Honey Comb costs $7. For those wondering, we got two small cups that amounted to $9.30 and $13, which we thought was relatively affordable.

10. Tous Les Jours Tang Plaza
If you frequent Orchard, you may have come across Tous Les Jours Cafe‘s latest store at Tang Plaza. This marks the popular Korean bakery’s third outlet in Singapore, following their NorthPoint City and Bukit Pasoh openings. Must-tries include their K-Hotteok Bread ($2.50), a sweet bun inspired by the popular Korean pancake, and Premium Pastry Egg Tart ($3.30), where flaky pastry layers encase a rich custard centre.

You’ll also find a new lineup of bakes here, such as the Twist Garlic Pastry ($2.80): crispy and buttery pastry coated in a savoury garlic butter sauce. There’s also the Coffee & Cream Coffee Bun ($2.50), comprising a soft coffee-infused bun filled with a rich coffee custard cream.

11. OMG Decadent Donuts
OMG Decadent Donuts is the latest kid on the Margaret Market block. The popular chain, which hails from Brisbane, currently has over 70 outlets across Australia. They’re known for their freshly made doughnuts, featuring sugar dustings made with real fruits. There are 12 flavours to choose from, priced at $3.75 per piece, $11 for three, $22 for six, and $42 for 12. If you prefer your doughnuts plain, get the Rudie Nudie ($3.50), which comes without any topping. Our unanimous favourite was the Kopi ($3.75) flavour, which boasted an aromatic coffee flavour that reminded us of Kopi C.

OMG Decadent Donuts shares a small dine-in space with homegrown cafe Brash Boys Coffee, so you can pair your doughnuts with a cuppa. We recommend their Iced White ($7.90), where frozen cold brew coffee cubes are paired with milk, or the Iced Strawberry Matcha ($7.90), comprising earthy matcha latte with crushed strawberries.

12. LONGJING
LONGJING is the latest addition to the ever-growing list of Chinese restaurant openings in Singapore. The restaurant, dubbed China’s “No.1 Zhejiang Cuisine Brand in 2024”, recently opened its first international outpost at Suntec City. You’ll find an impressive lineup of Hangzhou dishes, from meat and seafood to soups and desserts.
The Sister Song’s Fish Broth ($5.80++) stands out for its light and refreshing taste. This seafood-based broth comes with a generous topping of tender fish slices. For mains, you won’t go wrong with the Minced Pork Pancake ($18.80++), starring crepe rolls packed with thick slices of siew yoke, fried tofu skin, fresh cucumber, scallions, and bean sauce. There’s also the popular Fried Rice with Black Truffle and Beef ($12.80++) that’s perfect for sharing; this wok-fried rice comes with beef chunks, sweet corn, peas, carrots, and egg, all in an aromatic black truffle sauce.

13. Mr Hainan
VivoCity shopping centre recently saw a wave of fresh new eateries and kiosks. A new addition to the mall is Mr Hainan, a new Hainanese restaurant that offers Jiaji duck and Wenchang chicken, which is said to be the precursor to Singapore’s version of chicken rice.
The Wenchang Chicken with Chicken Rice (from $28.80) is a signature dish for good reason. Known as one of the “Four Famous Dishes of Hainan”, Mr Hainan sources their Wenchang chickens from Malaysia. The birds are traditionally raised with 120 days of free-range feeding, where they are given a natural, antibiotic-free diet. We found the meat well-marinated and tender, with a rich and deep flavour that paired well with the fragrant chicken rice. The Threadfin with Assam Sauce and Yellow Lantern Chilli Peppers ($29.90) was another highlight, starring spicy yellow peppers and a tangy assam sauce that complemented the fresh white fish.

14. Artichoke
After 15 years of serving their renowned Mediterranean-inspired menu, Chef Bjorn Shen’s Artichoke has reopened as a retro pizza parlour at New Bahru! The new menu is driven by Chef Bjorn’s childhood love for pizza. The concept aims to revive the nostalgic charm of the 80s and 90s American-Italian pizzeria experience: think crisp pizza crusts and flavourful, innovative toppings.
The Dirty Duck Stack ($30++ for four slices) is a crowd favourite, featuring a hefty portion of shredded spiced duck stuffed between two slabs of crisp pizza dough, topped with mozzarella, snake bean lawar, sambal matah, coconut cream, and an extra serving of duck. We also enjoyed the Tropic Thunder Round ($32++), combining tender slices of Parma ham, fresh jackfruit, ginger flower, and creamy burrata, topped with grated Pecorino, mint leaves, and a drizzle of honey for a touch of natural sweetness.

Easties will be happy to know that Legendary Hong Kong has opened at Tampines Mall. The popular Hong Kong cafe currently has two outlets in the West, Rochester Commons and Jurong Point, making this new Tampines restaurant its first East-side opening.
The food menu is super extensive, comprising dim sum, snacks, roast meats, mains and more. The BBQ Platter 4 in 1 ($28.80++) is great for sharing, as it gets you four meats of your choice; we went for the classic Roasted Duck, BBQ Pork, Crispy Pork Belly, and Soy Chicken. Other must-orders include Steamed Shrimp Dumplings ($7.50++), Steamed Pork Dumplings ($6.80++), Stir-Fried Tender Beef Slice in Black Bean Sauce ($18.80++), and Fried Rice with Chicken and Yam ($14.80++).
