Okashi Gaku Japanese cake in a can
Japan is chock full of novelty F&B experiences, including the likes of Okashi Gaku‘s soda can cakes and desserts, AKA Fuwa Cans, which you purchase out of a vending machine. If you’ve seen these floating around social media, get excited, as you’ll finally be able to get them for yourself without having to make the trip to Japan. Okashi Gaku is slated to bring their dessert vending machines to Singapore from 16 September onwards!

Satisfy your sweet tooth with a variety of Okashi Gaku’s flavours, including their OG Strawberry Shortcake Can ($11.80), and Fuwa Can staples such as Mango Passionfruit ($9.80). There will also be three Singapore Fuwa Can exclusives: Matcha ($8.80), Mango Chocolate ($9.80), and Tiramisu ($8.80).
The brand has confirmed that the first Okashi Gaku vending machine will open in Suntec City, at the entrance of Eat at Seven, on level three of the mega mall’s North Wing. It will be in operation round the clock. More of these cake-in-a-can vending machines will open across Singapore by year-end.

We hear that the Strawberry Shortcake is the product to try. Airy whipped cream is layered in a clear soda can with Hokkaido strawberries and fluffy vanilla sponge, for a dreamy treat.

The Tiramisu is another must-try if you love creamier versions of the Italian dessert. Mascarpone cream is layered with thin coffee-soaked sponge, and finished with a dusting of cocoa powder.
To enjoy the cakes, simply pull off the can’s top with the tab. Then, dig in with a tall spoon.

The cakes are air-flown from Japan, so the vending machine is not going to be refilled daily. If you want to nab these cakes, then be sure to swing by early.
