Pasar Malam Corner: New Stall Has Pasar Malam Snacks Such As Ramly Burger And Takoyaki Near JCube

5th February 2021

Pasar Malam Corner in Jurong

Update: Pasar Malam Corner is permanently closed.

Pasar malam, or night markets, are a pre-COVID activity that I sorely miss. While we canโ€™t visit a pasar malam right now, satisfy your street food cravings at Pasar Malam Corner. This new stall is located right outside JCube at Jurong East, next to hair salon Snip Avenue.

Pasar Malam Corner went viral after the ownerโ€™s daughter posted about the stall on Twitter. As of today, the tweet sees almost 5,000 retweets and 3,500 likes, with many eager to support the stall.

A popular street food found within Singapore and Malaysia, Ramly burgers are a must at the pasar malam. You can get one here at just $4, with a choice of chicken or beef as your protein. They also sell Roti John ($4), an omelette sandwich with chicken, ketchup, chilli, and mayonnaise.ย

If youโ€™re feeling peckish, the Takoyaki (from $3) makes for a great snack. Wolf down these babies by yourself, or get the largest size, served with ten balls to share with friends. For a more substantial meal, Pasar Malam Corner does mains such as nasi padang, nasi lemak, mee rebus, mee soto, lontong, and more. Most of them are priced below $4, making for a wallet-friendly lunch, especially for those working in the area.

Quench your thirst with the stallโ€™s beverage offerings, which are commonly found at the pasar malam. If youโ€™re missing the vibrant streets of Bangkok, consider the Thai Tea ($2.50) or Thai Green Tea ($2.50). Alternatively, stick with our local favourite, Bandung ($1.50).

The next time youโ€™re near JCube, check out this stall where you can relive pasar malam days, while supporting local businesses.ย

It is said that they open from 9am to 9pm, but we canโ€™t confirm if they operate daily.
