Resorts World Sentosa’s All Hail the King Durian Fest returns
As a self-proclaimed durian enthusiast, an all-you-can-eat durian buffet at Resorts World Sentosa was not something I was going to pass up. RWS’ All Hail The King Durian Fest has made a comeback this July, and I went down to see if it lives up to the hype—and the whopping $238 per person price tag.
The event spans two weekends, from 3 to 5 July 2026 and 10 to 12 July 2026, with each dining session held at The Bay Restaurant within Adventure Cove Waterpark, which gets a full tropical fruit-themed makeover for the occasion. Tickets are currently on sale till 11 July.
Each session runs for 75 minutes, so you’ll want to come hungry. Sessions from 3 to 5 July run from 4:30pm to 5:45pm, while those from 10 to 12 July run from 6:15pm to 7:30pm.
Five durian varieties were on offer during our visit, and we made it our mission to work through all of them. We started with the Black Thorn, which turned out to be a great entry point—my colleague, who was trying durian for the very first time, enjoyed this one the most. The flesh was on the drier side, but the flavour was mild and sweet without any of the intensity that tends to put first-timers off.
We also had the D24, which was sweet and slightly tart, with a firmer flesh that felt a little more refreshing compared to the richer varieties. Everyone was, of course, crowding around the Mao Shan Wang. The flesh was generously sized, creamy, and rich with a buttery mouthfeel, though it leaned slightly watery.
My colleague found this durian a touch too bitter, but for die-hard MSW fans, that bitterness is exactly the point.
There’s also Red Prawn, which was visually the easiest to identify, thanks to its distinctive orangey-red hue. Flavour-wise, it leaned sweet and had a creamy, slightly fibrous texture that gave it a satisfying bite.
We saved the Tupai King for last, and it turned out to be our favourite. Creamier than the MSW but without the bitterness, the Tupai King had a mellow, sweet flavour that made it easy to enjoy.
Beyond durian, the buffet also includes a spread of local dishes. We spotted Stir-Fried Sesame Oil Chicken with Scallion and Ginger, Steamed Fish with Assam Sauce, Braised Chinese Mushroom with Mixed Vegetables, and Wok-Fried Seafood Xing Zhou Bee Hoon, among others. There’s even Cheng Tng on offer for dessert—a welcome palate cleanser after all that durian.
For those who want a lighter break between rounds, there’s a selection of tropical fruits, including mangosteens, rambutans, longans, and jambu to snack on in between.
To wash everything down, coconut water served straight from the husk is available alongside the classic Three Legs Cooling Water.
Do note that the exact selection of durians and other food items may vary depending on seasonal availability, so the lineup on the day might differ slightly depending on which weekend you go.
To keep things lively, there’s also live entertainment in the form of performances by local celebrities Ben Yeo and Colin Chee, adding a bit of festivity to the whole affair.
At $238 per person, it’s not a casual splurge. But for serious durian fans like myself, the spread of five premium varieties, including MSW and Tupai King, makes it worth a try—at least once in your lifetime. Come hungry, pace yourself, and book early as slots are limited.
