Food festival at Sentosa’s Siloso Beach
Whenever I get jio–ed to Sentosa, I’m usually thinking beaches and cable cars. But I’ve started to realise that there’s a whole bunch of yummy food tucked away on this little island too. And from 13 to 29 July 2018, every Friday to Sunday, Siloso Beach @ Sentosa will be transformed into a 1km-long beachside food street with plenty to see and plenty to eat.
What’s more, while you dine under the stars, there will be live bands and local acts such as The JumpStart and AnchorBlac, as well as stilt-walkers and percussionists to entertain you all night long. Here’s what’s in store for you and your tummy!
GrillFest @ Siloso Beach
Featuring Sentosa’s very own restaurants as well as Singapore’s second-generation hawkers, this event runs from 6pm to 11pm at Siloso Beach. You’ll have a nice sea breeze keeping you cool while you tuck into Singaporean classics with a twist such as Lobster Hokkien Mee, Laksa Mentai Soft Shell Crab Bowl and Tom Yum Prawn Burger from over 20 stalls.
Also look out for Sentosa’s first Gourmet Discovery market, done in collaboration with ANGLISS. At the market, you can pick the ingredients you want and hand them over to the chefs who’ll whip up a meal just for you.
Culinary students from the ITE School of Hospitality will also be showcasing their skills with a series of creative dishes from 13 to 15 July 2018. Treat yourself to LAAA Pork, Steamy Salmon, Bun Cheek, and more. LAAA Pork is a BBQ pulled pork wrap with an Asian twist, and Bun Cheek is a meat bun with rendang flavours!
