After settling down at their permanent spot nestled in the newly revamped Park Mall, Sourbombe Artisanal Bakery has finally launched their series of sourdough Sourbombe croissants ($39 for a box of six).Â

Fans of the Sourbombe already know that you can’t expect the ordinary from this bakery. The same thing goes for this range of six sourdough croissants. Whether they are stuffed, embellished, or twice-baked, each of these Sourbombe croissants is zhnged-up with additional steps for the most unique experience.

Mochi has been big in the food scene this year. They have hopped onto this popular trend with their Black Sesame Mochi croissant ($7) that features black sesame custard and brown sugar mochi in the centre, wrapped with buttery layers of pastry, followed by a sprinkle of kinako soya bean powder and a dollop of roasted houjicha cream atop.

A flavour that’s probably more familiar for us locals would be their Kaya w/ Soy Caramel croissant ($7). It’s coloured deep olive green on the outside with spirulina, and light green on the inside with house-made pandan kaya. There’s an additional twist of flavour from the burnt soya sauce drizzle on the pastry as well.

There are also new sourdough bomboloni flavours in-stores, namely the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Praline, Vanilla Custard, Blackberry Jam w/ Almond Butter, and Spiced Apple Chai w/ Green Apple Compote. Sold in a box of three at $15.50, or $5.60 individually, these Sourbombes are created in celebration of the season of fall.Â
