Sunshine Has New Purple Sweet Potato Shokupan For A Limited Time

15th October 2024

Sunshine Bakeries launches purple sweet potato shokupan

If someone forced me to choose my favourite carb, I’d say it’s a tie between rice and bread. That’s how much I love my daily bread as much as my colleagues do—we went so far as to rank the best supermarket white bread! If you, like us, enjoy bread, good news: Sunshine Bakeries newly launched a new Purple Sweet Potato Shokupan Loaf, available till 31 January 2025.

You can now get your hands on the newly released shokupan at all major supermarkets in Singapore. Each loaf is priced at $3.90, and we must say it’s one of the most affordable Japanese milk bread options available.

The purple sweet potato shokupan is part of the Sunshine SHOKUPAN GOLD range, which is said to be more luxurious than the regular range of breads. You can expect small chunks of sweet potato within the milk bread, adding a fun textural variety to the otherwise soft and fluffy bread.

Some online reviews shared that the purple sweet potato shokupan tastes good on its own or with a cup of milk, but some have taken a step further by toasting it and pairing it with butter and jam.

The new shokupan flavour will only be around till 31 Jan 2025 or while stocks last, so make your way down to the nearest supermarket and try it for yourself while you still can.
