Tai Cheong Bakery Has New Outlet At Tampines, Bringing Their Famous Egg Tarts To The East

Easties will be delighted to know that they now don’t have to specifically travel to the North-East just for Tai Cheong Bakery, as they now have this famous egg tart stall right in their midst. If you don’t already know, they’ve opened their latest outlet in Tampines 1, with an only take-away concept characteristic of most of their stalls.

Established in 1954, Tai Cheong Bakery is the genius behind the cookie crust egg tarts, making them a cut above the rest and so well-loved.

Purists will enjoy the original Egg Tart ($8 for four tarts), with a silky soft and sweet interior. Look forward to a crunchy egg tart crust that crumbles nicely with each bite, boasting savoury and sweet notes.

If you’re feeling slightly more adventurous, try their Coconut Tart ($2.70) for a stickier and richer alternative. Rest assured as there are different flavours to cater to the local palate too, including Pandan Egg Tart ($2) and Durian & Cheese Tart ($3.90).

Those preferring savouries can choose from their pie selection, with items such as the Char Siu Pie ($3.50) or Chicken Pie ($3). We’d also recommend picking from their variety of traditional buns, with the Char Siu Bolo Bun ($2.80) certainly worth a shot.

For other new openings around, Jiak Song Mee Hoon Kway has opened their newest outlet at Bedok South Road, also taking their famous mee hoon kway to the East. Also, Ah Pui Tiong Bahru Pushcart Satay also opens in Smith Street, finally having a physical stall for fans to enjoy their satay on the spot.
