The Lim’s Kitchen is a popular bakery by Rebecca Lim’s family
If you fall into either category—you’re a fan of local actress Rebecca Lim, or you simply love pastries—chances are you’d have heard of The Lim’s Kitchen. This IG-famous bakery was started in 2021 by the famous actress’ brother, who’s the main baker. Within a short span of two years, the family-run bakery was so popular they upgraded their home setup to a commercial kitchen.

In celebration of National Day, the homegrown bakery has rolled out a limited-time Little Red Dot Box ($36)Â celebrating iconic local flavours. Available from now till 31 August 2023, each set comes with five pastries: Pandan Kaya Almond Croissant, Gula Melaka Puff, Satay Danish, Chicken Curry Puff Danish, and Butter Crab.
The kaya croissant steals the spotlight; this twice-baked, pandan-infused croissant is filled with a rich kaya butter middle that takes a nod to the classic Singaporean brekkie. It’s finished with almond cream and toasted coconut flakes.

If you want something else, order The New Classics ($35) pastry box. Here, you get five items, including a Cheesy Sausage Wellington, a Truffle Mushroom Croissant, and an indulgent Pistachio Chocolate Pain Suisse: laminated pastry piped with a rich pistachio custard filling.

Alternatively, the Croissant Pizzette Box ($32) is great for your next brunch gathering. This set features four croissant pizzettes made with The Lim’s Kitchen’s in-house sourdough levain, yeast, and premium French butter.

If you’re hosting a party, save yourself the trouble of prepping dessert—just order their Apple Frangipane Tart ($39) instead. The eight-inch tart comprises slow-cooked green apples on an almond tart shell, finished with a buttery crumble on top.

You can also find four of the bakery’s signature pastries at Mr Bucket Chocolaterie in Dempsey, available for both dine-in and takeaway.
If you’re ordering online, there’s a fixed delivery fee of $10. A brick-and-mortar store is also in the works for The Lim’s Kitchen, so do keep your eyes peeled on their Instagram page for the latest updates.
