Ubi Claypot Lala has JB-famous claypot lala near Tai Seng
Singaporeans seem to love it when Johor Bahru (JB) food travels to our island. From lok lok to Sarawak kolo mee, it seems we all love having Malaysian food within arm’s reach. Now, you can find the famous claypot lala from JB at the newly opened Ubi Claypot Lala!

The claypot Specialty Broth comes in two sizes, with the smaller portion going for $13.80 while the larger costs $22.80. It is served on a charcoal stove with a generous portion of lala, AKA clams, adding to the sweetness of the broth!
Fun fact: along with soup refills on the house, Ubi Claypot Lala even offers free Shaoxing wine and fried garlic top-ups so that you can customise the soup to be as boozy or garlicky as you like.

The eatery offers over 40 hotpot toppings to go with your claypot lala. The hotpot classics are all available, including Shabu Pork ($8.80), Wawa Cai ($2.80), and Maggi ($0.80). In addition, you’ll find unique ingredients such as Sotong Flower ($6.80), Empress Clam ($8.80), and Smoked Duck ($8.80).

The toppings are priced affordably, even when it comes to premium ingredients such as Australian Beef Slices ($10.80) and Hokkaido Scallops ($10.80).

It is also said that their signature homemade chilli sauce is what sets them apart from their JB counterpart. The tanginess and spice are sure to cut through any fishiness present.
Ubi Claypot Lalais located in the Ubi industrial area, right opposite ComfortDelGro Driving Centre. This means that the roads are narrow and parking spaces are limited. They only accept walk-ins, so do come early to avoid a long wait!
