Get The Viral 10-Cent Coin Cheese Pancake In Tanjong Pagar

13th May 2024

10 Cent Pancake has the viral coin pancake in Tanjong Pagar

If you’ve been on TikTok, you might have seen videos of a pancake shaped like a 10-won coin. These pancakes have gotten so popular that they have reached Singapore: a few months ago, B For Bagel at Parkway Parade had a pop-up selling the viral Korean coin bread. Inspired by this, 10 Cent Pancake has come up with a local version of the pancakes, which you can now find in Tanjong Pagar.

The Pancake ($5) looks like an enlarged version of the old 10-cent coin—it was almost the size of my palm! They also paid great attention to details such as “TEN CENTS” stamped in block letters and the star jasmine beautifully engraved on the pancake batter. FYI: the traditional Korean coin pancake is shaped to look like a 10-won coin instead.

On the inside, you will find the pancake filled with mozzarella cheese. Just look at the length of that cheese stretch!

This long cheese pull comes from a huge block of mozzarella cheese that’s placed in every pancake. The cheese is then covered in batter to create a warm, toasty treat.

The cheese may be the star of the show, but we also found the batter to be quite delicious. It was fluffy and moist, with a milky flavour that complemented the mild flavour of mozzarella cheese.

The kiosk also offers drinks to pair with the pancakes. To balance out the sweetness of the pancakes, you can get their aromatic Iced Black Coffee ($5)

The kiosk is located at Tanjong Pagar Plaza, a four-minute walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. It is a short distance from the stretch of popular Korean restaurants in the CBD, so you can consider having it as a dessert after lunch.
