Tanglin Mall may not be everyone’s go-to dining destination given that it is a tad out of the way, but if you love Korean food, it’s time to make your way down, thanks to Market Blue. This multi-concept lifestyle store is also home to a Korean kopitiam!

As part of their new menu, Market Blue offers items such as Cheese Dak Galbi and various makgeolli towers for customers to try something new. Each table is also served with a variety of banchan that’s refillable once.

The Cheese Dak Galbi ($38.80++) is Market Blue’s newest offering on their savoury food menu. This dish consists of spicy stir-fried chicken cooked with cabbage, Korean rice cakes, and mozzarella cheese in the middle.

Don’t worry if you have a low spice tolerance—the melted cheese helps to mask the spiciness here. The chicken has a tender bite, pairing well with the rice cakes. The best part about this is that the meat is boneless!

If you’re dining solo, there’s the Soybean Stew ($9.90++) that feeds one person. This spicy, hearty broth consists of pork slices and large tofu chunks, cooked with kimchi and then topped with sliced leek and ground sesame seeds—perfect for a cold, rainy day.

Otherwise, the La Galbi ($59.90++) also comes highly recommended for those dining in a pair. It features tender barbecued beef shortribs marinated in a sweet-savoury sauce.

We recommend the Kimchi Pancake ($17.90++) too, if you don’t want something too heavy. It comes with a generous portion of leeks, chilli, and kimchi—you can’t go wrong with this!

Last but not least, seek respite from the heat with Market Blue’s newest addition, the Lemon Tower. There are three flavours to choose from, namely Sojuball Lemon ($14.90++), Makgeolli ($11.90++), and Sojuball Ocean Blue ($14.90++). Each drink comes with slices of lemon stacked on top of each other for an extra-citrusy flavour.

Market Blue is consistently updating their menu, so be sure to check them out for more delectable Korean eats!
