Jane’s Cake Station has affordable chocolate fudge cakes at Jalan Kayu

While cake shops usually have a range of flavours to choose from, Jane’s Cake Station is interesting in that it only has two on its menu: chocolate fudge and durian. But that lack of variety doesn’t stop the shop from being highly beloved among its patrons—in fact, you could argue that it is a strength, as having just two cakes means they can be mastered to perfection.
Both these cakes come in various sizes suitable for both small and large parties, and can be customised upon request. You can ask for cute birthday messages to be on the surface of your cake, or even a cute cartoon doodle that the kids will love.

The Chocolate Fudge Cake (from $42) is, according to one reviewer on Google, “out of this world”. It is said to be soft, moist, and wonderfully chocolatey without being too sweet. Some have even noted that there’s a hint of saltiness in the cake, too. For fans of old-school chocolate cake, like those sold by Lana Cakes, you’re probably going to like this one.

The Durian Cake (from $58) is another excellent treat. It is said to be as good as the chocolate cake texturally, while having the rich aroma and flavour of durians. Again, it is not too sweet, and has the simple and homely taste that marks many old-school cakes. If the person whose birthday you’re celebrating loves the king of fruits, be sure to get this cake.
