Wagyu Kushi skewers at Don Don Donki Singapore

There’s a new Don Don Donki item that’s all the rage across the border. Videos of the Wagyu Kushi skewers have been making the rounds on social media in Malaysia, and no wonder, given how glorious they look sizzling on the grill.

You can now get the Don Don Donki Wagyu Kushi skewers at their 100 AM outlet! Available from 10am to 7pm daily, the skewers go for $4.90 a piece and $8.90 for two. While it’s far from the most affordable snack you can get at Don Don Donki, the fact that it uses 100% Japanese Wagyu beef specially sourced from Kagoshima Prefecture helps to justify its price.

The Wagyu Kushi can be found in the Japan Mobile Foods section, which also offers other takeaway items such as the famous Yakiimo (roasted sweet potato). Though the beef skewer is currently only available at 100 AM, patrons of the Orchard Central branch will also get to savour it come the end of June.

Your skewers are cooked upon order, so you can watch—and take in the smoky aroma—as the sticks of meat are grilled nicely. And with the Wagyu beef’s marbled texture, each skewer is said to be a juicy and succulent treat.

If you’re still not convinced, check out this Instagram video from Don Don Donki. The sight of those sizzling beef skewers in motion should cause hunger pangs in any self-professed beef lover:
