Situated among cafes and restaurants, Holland Village Food Centre sits in the heart of the area, offering a range of tasty nosh from just $3! From new competitors offering ma la xiang guo to long-standing names such as 363 Holland Village Nasi Lemak, here are some stalls to check out when you’re at the hawker centre.


1. Ming Fa Fish Ball Noodles

Ming Fa Fish Ball Noodles is no stranger to the hawker scene, with its bak chor mee drawing crowds to 12 outlets islandwide. Their Ba Chor Mee ($3.50) comprises minced meat, mushrooms, sliced pork, and meat balls atop your choice of noodles. Other popular dishes include Fish Ball Noodles ($3.50) and Fish Ball Noodle Soup ($3.50), both contributing to the long queues at lunch hour.

363 Holland Village Nasi Lemak’s value-for-money dishes have earned the stall a cult following for years. Serving up the usual combinations of ikan bilis, fried chicken cutlet, egg and a variety of vegetables, the stall’s fragrant coconut rice and delicious sambal chilli are still the stars of the show. Their Laksa ($4.50) is also worth trying if you’re up for some spicy and creamy noodles!

3. Xiang Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice, Porridge and Noodles

Xiang Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice, Porridge and Noodles stands out from typical chicken rice stalls by offering a wide range of dishes. Think Century egg & pork porridge ($3.50/$4), Roasted duck rice ($3.50/$4), Shredded chicken hor fun ($3/$3.50) and macaroni ($3.50/$3). If you ever need a quick fix for your starving tummy, you know where to head to.

From Western classics to fusion fare,  you will be able to find a wide selection catering to all budgets at Chang Sheng Western Food. Items on the menu range from old-school favourites such as Pork Chop ($6.50), Chicken Bolognese Spaghetti ($4.50) and Fish ‘n’ Chips ($6), to slightly more atas alternatives including Black Pepper Sirloin Steak ($8) and Salmon Fish with Rice/Fries ($8). A range of fried rice dishes is also available for those who can’t do without rice!

De Sheng Hand-Made Noodles and Fish Soup is your answer to a healthy, hearty afternoon lunch. At just $3.50, you can enjoy a bowl of Dry Ban Mian or its soup version – Ban Mian, U-Mian or Mee Hoon Kway. Other dishes include Beef Ramen ($4.50) and Seafood Soup ($4). This stall also offers Sliced Fish Soup ($4/$5/$6), Fried Fish Bee Hoon ($4/$5), Sliced Fish Mee Sua ($4/$5), and the likes that will satisfy any fish soup craving.

6. Qian Jiao Bai Wei Ma La Xiang Guo

You no longer have to travel to People’s Park Complex to jump on the ma la xiang guo bandwagon with Holland Village’s newest entrant – Qian Jiao Bai Wei Ma La Xiang Guo. Located at a corner of the hawker centre, this stall dishes out bowls of fiery goodness.  Choose from a selection of meats ($3 per 100g), mushrooms ($2 per 100g), and vegetables($1 per 100g), and have them doused in chilli oil and peppercorn!

7. Yu Ji Claypot and Stewed Soup

This claypot rice stall seems to be the buzz of this market and we are not surprised. At $5.50, their Traditional Claypot Sesame Oil Chicken comes with a substantial portion of chicken and rice doused in black sweet sauce – the simple ingredient that makes this dish worth every penny. For something lighter, the stall also offers a variety of soup including Salted Vegetable Duck Soup ($4), Watercress Pork Ribs Soup ($3.80), and Ten Tonic Ginseng Chicken Soup ($5.50).

8. Chen Ji Wanton Noodles

Chen Ji Wanton Noodles is where you’d be sure to find Wanton Noodles ($3.50/$4) that satisfies. This stall serves the traditional dish in five ways – with chilli sauce, black sauce, chilli with black sauce, ketchup, or soup. Fried Wantons ($2/$3) are also available for those looking for a little crunch.
