Some of you might remember La Jiang Shan, a steamboat restaurant that’s known for their individual BBQ and hotpot buffet. Along the same stretch on Selegie Road, just a few units away, they’ve also opened Jiang’s Noodle House, which started operations several years ago!

Located just a short seven-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, Jiang’s Noodle House is a hotspot for university students and the working crowd. The menu boasts an extensive array of over 50 dishes, which features their house-made noodle soups and new claypot series. Choose from four different house-made soup bases here: Golden Chicken, Signature Pork Rib, Mala Signature Pork Rib, and Braised Beef.

If you’re in the mood to splurge, a must-try is their In-house Beef Three Treasures Noodles ($17.50). This dish comes with three types of beef cuts━braised beef sirloin, beef shank, and slices of marbled beef.

A crowd favourite is Crispy Chicken Chop Noodles ($9.80+), which comes in a luscious golden soup base. The pumpkin-based broth takes centre stage here, with black fungus, cabbage, and a serving of crispy chicken served on the side. It’s highly recommended to top up $1 for the knife-sliced noodles as the soup is said to cling to the noodles wonderfully.

Alternatively, there are also two other noodle options to choose from: la mian and rice noodles.

If you prefer dry noodles, don’t miss out on their Spicy Oil Knife Sliced Noodles ($8.60). The noodles come thoroughly tossed in a spicy chilli oil mix, topped with fresh spring onions and crunchy peanuts. The knife-cut noodles, AKA 刀削面 (dāo xiāo miàn), are made fresh to order and come in wide, flat, and springy strands.
