If you’re looking for a minimalist cafe that doesn’t just look the part, but also serves legitimately good coffee and tea, look no further than Kurasu Singapore. With the brand hailing from Kyoto, Japan, this Singapore branch offers the same lineup of coffee as the Kyoto outlets, and uses speciality roasters from around Japan.

The cafe’s clean, white, and oak aesthetic is a large draw for those looking to snap the perfect Instagram photo. It’s a comfortable, pleasant environment to have some nice coffee and eats as you chill or catch-up with friends.

For some solid coffee, try some of Kurasu’s Espresso, whether as a Single Shot ($3.50), White ($6.50), or Black ($5.50). Fans of dripped coffee can get drinks such as the Single Origin Hand Drip Coffee ($7.50) or Cold Brew ($5.50). The aroma and flavour varies depending on what beans you chose, of course, so you can ask the staff for recommendations if you’re not sure what to get.

Those who prefer tea can go for the Matcha Latte ($7) or Hojicha Latte ($7), both of which have received raved reviews as well.

And if you’re looking for a tasty snack to enjoy alongside your coffee, we recommend trying their Pancakes ($8), served with rich French butter and maple syrup, or the Toast with Cheese ($6.50), topped with seaweed flakes and a drizzle of maple syrup.
