If you often have midnight cravings, you’re in luck. From muah chee gelato to Thai milk tea bingsu, we’ve come up with a list of late-night dessert spots that close after 11pm, so you can grab a quick bite whenever you’re feeling the munchies.


1. Butterspace Bakery


Butterspace Bakery is one of the few cafes that serve late-night desserts till 2am daily. Get their Cookie Sandwich ($8.50) for that IG-worthy shot; it comes with your choice of ice cream, topping, sauce, and cookie. You can also take things up a notch by getting the Birthday Cake Cookie ($3.80), which features a marshmallow centre that gives you the aesthetic pull shot when you break the cookie apart.

2. Naked Ice Cream


Adding on to the list of late-night dessert cafes is Naked Ice Cream, which opens till 2am daily. Their dessert offerings are priced under $10, so you won’t break a bank here. If you’re up for waffles and ice c​​ream, opt for either their Plain Waffle ($4), or Charcoal Waffle ($5), with toppings priced at an additional $1 each.  A premium ice cream flavour to try is the Rock Melon ($5), which boasts a sweet, fruity taste.

3. No Horse Run


Northsiders will be thrilled to know that there’s a dessert place nearby: No Horse Run located in Yishun. For a classic twist to the traditional waffle, get their Pandan Gula Melaka Waffle ($6.50), which comes drizzled with your choice of housemade sauce—Classic Maple Syrup, Childhood Milo, House-Made Jam, or Caramelised Cookies. They’re known for their locally inspired ice creams, including Muah Chee ($5).

4. Icebar


Icebar is a late-night dessert cafe decked out in neon signages and decor, located within Hougang Green Shopping Mall. Start with their waffles that come in Original ($5.50), Charcoal ($6.80), and Coffee ($6.80), with a side of syrup. If you’d like something tea-centric, try their Tie Guan Yin gelato. Alternatively, go for their Yuzu Citron sorbet for a good mix of sweet and sour flavours. Prices of single scoops start from $4.20.

5. Tian Wang Desserts


If you’re into mahjong, visit Tian Wang Desserts, a mahjong-themed cafe located in Jalan Besar. Tian Wang Desserts offers both hot and cold traditional Chinese desserts with a slight twist. The Mango Pomelo Sago ($4.80) uses fresh mango and puree, which come atop shaved ice for a refreshing dessert. You can also go for their Soursop Popping ($4.80), served with popping boba and real soursop fruit.

6. Burnt Cones


Here’s one for the Westies: Burnt Cones offers an array of desserts and brunch food till late. Pick your choice of cone ($1)—light, medium or dark—to go with your gelato. The light, which is the least burnt, has a buttery undertone, the medium is your regular waffle cone, and the dark has a slight bitterness to it. For a roasted, nutty flavour, get their Pistachio ($7) ice cream, or go for the refreshing Blood Orange Thyme ($6) sorbet! Their Buttermilk Waffles ($7), said to be fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, is another noteworthy item on the menu.

7. Wan Wan Thai Cafe


Centrally located in Bencoolen, Wan Wan Thai Cafe serves up a wide variety of bingsu flavours and waffles to satisfy your supper cravings. Their Milk Tea Bingsu ($10.90++) features Thai milk tea flavoured shaved ice, topped with a scoop of Thai milk tea ice cream, and sprinkled with cookie crumbs. 8. Lickers

Amidst the numerous  ice cream shops in Singapore, Lickers is another late-night spot perfectly suited for heartlanders to fix their sweet tooth cravings. Their ice cream goes for $3.90 for a single scoop, and $6.90 for two. For a classic taste, get their Honey Comb and Speculoos. Alternatively, you can top up $0.80 for something different—Oolong Lavender or Cranberry Citrusy. If you’re pairing your ice cream with a waffle, go for their set, priced at $8.

9. Gong He Guan

Gong He Guan offers traditional desserts at affordable prices. Originating from Hong Kong, this dessert spot serves Chinese-style desserts and opens till 2:30am daily—great for those who stay up till late. Go for either the Yam Paste with Pumpkin and Ginkgo Nut ($5.50) for a simple, traditional dessert, or the Sesame Paste ($4.50) if you prefer something that is rich and creamy. For a more refreshing option, try their Mango Pudding ($5).

10. Oblong

Oblong is another notable cafe popular among night owls for their sugar-loaded waffles. Their a la carte waffles start from $6.20, but they also have combos that include a waffle, single scoop of ice cream and a drink. Try their classic flavours including Banana Nutella ($4.20) and Teh Tarik ($4.20). Alternatively, there are also premium flavours such as Butterfly Pea Flower ($4.80) and Mao Shan Wang ($5.40)

Durian lovers will enjoy what Dessert First has to offer. The Durian Snow Ice ($11.50) is made with real durian flesh, and is topped with durian cream as a final touch. If you’re not a fan of durian, they also have Mango Snow Ice ($10.50), filled with mango flesh and puree. For a more traditional Chinese dessert, go for Sesame Paste with Tang Yuan ($5.80) or Gingko Barley ($5.80).

12. Hay Gelato

When it comes to unique gelato, Hay Gelato is a place not to be missed. Unlike the usual, rounded scoop, here they made a slight dent at the top to sprinkle a complimentary topping of your choice. Start with a classic flavour such as Roasted Pistachio ($4.20), or go for their signature Smoked Hay ($5.20), infused with real smoked hay for an extra depth of flavour. You can also pair your gelato with their waffle ($5.50).

13.  Foursome Ice Cream

Joining the list of late-night dessert places is Foursome Ice Cream, with highly raved ice cream flavours and crispy waffles. Their popular waffles come in two flavours: Original Waffles ($4.20) that’s made with buttermilk, and Red Velvet Waffles ($5). For an additional $2.80, you can pair your waffle with a scoop of ice cream. Choose from the 14 flavours, with options such as Dark Chocolate and Apple Cinnamon

Otherwise, a single scoop starts from $3.80, which is really affordable!

14. 2am: Dessertbar

2am: Dessertbar is a dessert restaurant that, despite its name, is open till 12am. Loved for their classy ambience and elegant desserts, you won’t regret making a reservation here. Run by local dessert extraordinaire Janice Wong, they serve contemporary takes on desserts such as Up In The Clouds ($22++), a light and tangy bergamot yoghurt mousse infused with aerated hojicha, sake kasu nitro, and whisky milk sauce. If you’re in the mood for some drinks, the staff will also recommend wine pairings to go along with your dessert of choice. 

For something simpler, choose from their selection of ice creams or sorbets including Jerusalem Artichoke Ice Cream and Kochi Yuzu Sorbet. Three scoops go for $15++.

15.  Grin Affair

Grin Affair, a late-night dessert cafe with popular jar cakes, has been around since 2011. You can get their cakes in signature flavours such as Lychee Passionfruit & Roasted Pistachio ($9.90) which has sweet, sour, and nutty notes, or a simpler Vanilla & Strawberry ($8.90). Alternatively, check out their seasonal jar cake flavours including Matcha & Coffee ($7.60), a chocolate cake layered with matcha mousse, and topped with a pecan cookie crust. 

In addition, the cafe also has gelato! Go for the Honey Jackfruit and Roasted Coffee flavours. A single scoop starts from $3.90.

16. Cold Flings

Cold Flings is a relatively new late-night dessert cafe in Sengkang decked out in neon lights and cute decor, perfect for that IG-worthy shot of their signature waffles, gelato, and acai. Try their Chocolate Indulgence that’s made with collagen and probiotics, or Blue Pea Sea Salt that’s said to have floral notes. Single scoops start from $4.50, and you can also add on a Butter or Pandan waffle for $7. 

For something refreshing, choose from their acai cups, offered in medium ($9.90) and large ($13.90) sizes. Go for their Cookie Crush acai cup, which is served with fresh fruits, biscoff, and cookie butter.

17. Momolato


Another specialist gelato store is Momolato, which is also the current Asia Pacific Gelato World Tour Champion! Their halal gelato is said to be the best in Asia, so you definitely have to check this place out. 

Momolato has both waffles and croffles, AKA croissant waffles. Their thick, fluffy waffles and chewy croffles come served with a side of gula melaka caramel sauce and mascarpone vanilla cream. Choose from waffle options including Buttermilk ($6.60), Pandan ($6.90), and Keto ($12). Alternatively, get their Banana ($6.90) croffle, which has banana slices sandwiched within. 

Pair your waffle or croffle with popular flavours such as Sea Salt Roasted Sicilian Pistachio and Hokkaido Cream Chocolate Hazelnut. Alternatively, you can get a single scoop from $4.90. They also have keto ice cream flavours with no added sugars. Go for their Keto Korean Strawberry Cheesecake ($7.40) that uses Korean strawberries and cream cheese.
