Popular Danish Bakery Leckerbaer Opens New Cafe In Keong Saik This November

2nd November 2021

Leckerbaer Keong Saik

Famed Danish bakery Leckerbaer caused quite a stir when it opened last year in Orchard Road. The bakery, which hails from Copenhagen, is renowned for their petite cakes and småkagers (pronounced ‘smaw-kay-er’), AKA bite-sized mini cookies dressed with delicate toppings. Fast forward a year later, and Leckerbaer just opened a new flagship in Keong Saik, promising more offerings amidst a bigger space.

The flagship just opened its doors this month, and you can expect an understated interior that is full-on Scandi, with spots of greenery and Leckerbaer blue that draw the eye.

Fans can look forward to all their signature Småkagers, in flavours such as VanillaBanana, Caramel, and Milk, available as individuals from $2.80, as well as in a box set for gifting or takeaways. In lieu of the festive season, Christmas-themed småkagers will also be available, but flavours will only be revealed when the store officially opens.

Also on the menu are new sourdough open-faced sandwiches, for fans of savoury bites.

Their tarts will also be available, with options such as Lemon & Sea Buckthorn ($7) and Red Berries & Salted Caramel ($7). As with the Orchard outlet, one can expect a menu of cakes, ice cream, and hot drinks, such as coffee and artisanal tea, as well as house-made lemonade if you want to skip the caffeine.

For those who prefer a variety to nibble on, a brand notice mentions that there will be a Christmas tea set upcoming, akin to afternoon tea, with Leckerbaer’s bakes.
