PANDA Mala Chicken’O at Old Chang Kee
If you haven’t heard or read the news, Singapore welcomed its first panda cub on 14 August 2021. To commemorate the cub’s 100-day milestone, Old Chang Kee is launching their latest creation, the PANDA Mala Chicken’O, which will be available on 21 November 2021. Â

Priced at $3 per piece, the puffs are designed and shaped like a panda with three different looks — one that’s smiling, another that’s blushing, and one without any expression. Â

Old Chang Kee is known for its limited-edition unique puff flavours such as Hae Bee Hiam Chicken puff, Salted Egg Yolk Orh Nee puff, Chilli Crab and Butter Chicken puff, and Camou Curry puff.Â
The local chain also made waves when it rolled out a Curry Chicken Bao ($1.60), exclusively available at Old Chang Kee Coffee House in Tanjong Pagar. The unique bao features the same signature curry puff filling as the Curry’O, but wrapped in a pillowy soft, steamed bao skin.

This time around, the Panda Mala Chicken’O is filled with mala chicken to pay homage to the panda’s Sichuan origins. As the limited-edition deep-fried snack is available in limited quantities for one day only, it’s probably wise to head down early to your nearest Old Chang Kee to avoid disappointment.
