Old Village KL Pork Noodle at Yishun
If you live in the west, you may have come across Old Village in Tanglin Halt. The hawker stall is known for their highly raved-about, authentic KL-style pork noodles priced from just $2.50. This time, they will be opening their second outlet in Yishun, together with sister brand Old World Bakuteh.Â

Their signature pork noodles come with the option of having it soup or dry. You also get to pick your choice of noodles, from yellow noodles, kway teow, and bee hoon. Their most popular dish is their dry noodles, covered with an addictive dark sauce mix—a trademark of most KL-style noodles.
Prices here are fairly similar to Old Village’s original Tanglin Halt eatery, although there’s a slight markup for some dishes. Highlights on the menu include the Sliced Pork Noodle ($3), Mixed Pork Noodle ($3.50), and Pork Ball Noodle ($2.50).Â
From the Old World Bakuteh front, you’ll see old-time favourites including Mixed Pig’s Organ Mee Sua ($5), Signature Bak Kut Teh Soup ($8), plus a wide variety of side dishes to go with your mains.Â
Fried porridge lovers can also get their fix with the Sliced Pork, Mixed Pig’s Organ, Large Intestines, or Sliced Fish Fried Porridge for just $5.Â
